1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. 3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Do you have any insight into the status of my shoe order? I don't know if Nike has some sort of tracking function that shows where the shoes are in the manufacturing/shipment process but if they do I'd appreciate an update; thanks.

IMPORTANT: GFC is currently moving their offices to a new location. This means we'll finally have an exclusive floor devoted to our business for storage, package processing and more. Out of cuiosity, why do you offer both DR and PF services? I would think they'd be redundent.
 
DR services and PF services serve a similar niche, but they're actually quite different in the end. DR is better for people that have access to Paypal but don't have Credit Cards or have cards that aren't accepted in the USA (there are still many of them out there). Also, for people that have Amazon Credit and the like, they can use DR without any issue.

PF services are better for spur-of-the-moment purchases that are more limited or urgent. It allows people to order practically anything from anywhere without worrying about missing a deal during quick sales and such.

So yeah, they're similar but still different enough to warrant two services. Switching to PF only right now allows us to move to the new place without worrying about a huge backlog of orders (which is inevitable if my office has no power/internet for a couple weeks).
 
Rogan, I'm off to work now but to answer your question: It's technically a "town house" and it has three separate floors including the basement. I will be converting the entire basement into a workspace/office instead of squeezing it all into a tiny second bedroom :) Hope that makes sense. Cya guys soon!

MK Wii package was 28oz (1.75lb), said so in the box and I checked by weighing it.
If you take a look at the invoice I was charged the 2.5-3 pounds rate. From the USPS website I gather there's about a $8-$9 difference.

In any case, I will pay the remaining charges for Ganondorf + Galaxy 2, though I don't have this Google Checkout thing so I'm unsure how to proceed.

I guess then you can ship Heracles + Metroid Other M (shipped yesterday from Amazon) together and we'll be done.

Very true... that's why I have so many PF orders, because I so often pounce on very time-limited deals from woot.com or Amazon Goldbox/Lightning Deals, although I've spent way more on stuff I've actually sought out because it comprises almost the entire bulk of my big-ticket orders.

This is perfect timing for me though :lol: Just earlier today my computer died, powers on but won't even POST, and I've ruled out everything but the mobo/cpu... and since my stuff is a bit dated and not entirely compatible with readily available components, that means it's replacement time for me. Which means I'm going to be cash-strapped for a while anyways, I'm not sure I'll even be able to afford LOOKING at Woot.com for the next little while :lol:

I would think PF would be straight forward but then you have the problem of shipping costs; the DR form builds that into the final cost.

I'd be fine with doing PR but my concern would be having additional wait time for you to calculate shipping costs when it arrives.

Hey Goomba, I received the touchstone and car charger package! The included message was a nice touch. :) I was wondering what you decided to do about the other half of the order (#1295b / 924679832 - 2 Tubes of Maxforce Gel). I already bought an alternative locally so it's not vital but I could also use more if you are still sending it. Please let me know.
 
Guys, I'm just popping in here for a second because as you know it's Labor Day weekend so I've been working my tail off at the casino and other jobs (8+ hours a day, plus lots more packing). I will be moving the first load of furniture tomorrow into my new place and then will work a little on answering your questions and updating GYROS. This is by far the busiest week I've had in ages so I've almost made it through. Most updates will be done on Tuesday though so I can catch everyone up.

With the DR system disabled on the site that means we can focus on getting everyone's accounts squared while we move and once we open we can start with a blank slate again in terms of backlog :) I will update all of you very soon. Thanks again!

Haven't bugged you for a while, but I made a bunch of PF orders a little while ago (the ability to estimate shipping costs seemed to be remove), so I'm just wondering if you've got any of it in your possession yet, as I haven't got any invoices at all. and none of them are on GYROS (I guess you don't put PF orders up there?) so I'm kind of in the dark :lol:

Not pressuring you to hurry up or anything (yet! haha) but I'm just wondering where I stand and possibly how long it may be.

I'm in the same boat, he has a good 5-10 forwarded orders for me on the way or received, but I don't think he's been to pick them up in awhile, hopefully we get an update next week. Moving can be a pain >.>
 
Just letting you guys know the move is going well so far. We've started moving some of our personal items and we plan to rent a U-Haul truck in a week or so to move our furniture/bed/etc. Once we have all the furniture in, we'll officially be moved into the new place and we can move forward there.

In the meantime we don't have Internet in our new place yet, so bear with us. We're still processing shipping and ordering :) Just not a lot of Emailing or GYROS updates going on (we will update as we ship but for new orders it may take a few days to show up on there). We'll do our best to have it all caught up once our new place has Internet.

Oh and also, we'll re-open in October once we're 100% moved and 100% caught up on all orders. It will feel great to have no backlog and be in a new building =) Can't wait! Talk to you guys soon ^_^.

Oh and as for PF orders...I'm doing another major pickup at UPS tomorrow so I'm expecting a ton of packages there. Update you all very soon I promise!

Sadly with each passing day I want this item less and less and hoping it doesn't take too much longer.

I'm in the same boat with #1374 except I've paid the full amount up front. It wasn't a trivial amount of money so it would be nice to get an update from either goomba or adorama because it shouldn't take a month for adorama to ship something within the states.
 
I had ordered a MadCatz Street Fighter IV Fight Stick through you a while ago. You had sent me a message saying that you had received it and that additional shipping costs were required. The Paypal transaction for the extra shipping costs has been cleared for a few days now and yet the order remains in the red section of your G.Y.R.O.S page. I was wondering about the current status of my item, order #1369.

Guys, my first day off in nearly two weeks is coming up tomorrow (and Wednesday) so I'll be doing a lot of catchup on GYROS. Until then please bear with me :) I'll be shipping some packages today and a lot more the next two days. The new UPS pickup is complete but I have to drop off the packages at the new place (which won't have Internet this week). I'll be organizing them there and then Sunday we'll be officially moving in. Power is on, but Internet isn't. We're getting there though :)

DMPugh, Endicia (the company I use to ship the packages with) has been experiencing some problems so the item actually shipped out today. Sorry for the Mix-up. As mentioned above, I haven't had time to update GYROS since our offices are without Internet for the next week or so. I'm going to try to update it some tonight and tomorrow. xanavi, your camera is scheduled to arrive any day now. Due to the expensive nature of the item the company required us to call their offices and confirm the purchase on not one, but two occasions which slowed down the shipping. RoganSarine, as a rule of thumb I try not to ship glass products but as far as I know it's not illegal or anything (I could be wrong, but I have shipped it in the past). If you get insurance I'm pretty sure you should be all set. I'd just have to wrap it up really good and mark it as fragile/glass on the package.

helluvagood, yes for all items inbetween those weights it'd be roughly in the middle, though honestly those weights usually refer to the items themselves and not the SHIPPED weight which is more than likely close to two pounds. If you want to order it though let me know :) Thanks.

emjaymj, I didn't unload the new packages (around 30+ of them to go) but I will be doing so over the next two days again. I'll update GYROS accordingly. Now that DR's are on hold and we're only accepting PF's it'll be easier. I'll have to disable PF's for a couple weeks in October to work on a new version of the system since the current one doesn't require prepayment or shipping weight estimates. Talk to you soon!

I think that's a great idea, assuming I get your meaning and you don't intend to start up DRs again as soon as you take PF's down. Obviously that's up to you though :lol: and if not, I can certainly understand the desire to hang on to at least SOME part of the revenue stream (however small). But you've got a lot going on, and Black Friday will be upon us before you know it and I imagine you definitely want to be completely caught up by the time that rolls around.

So I guess I'm understanding that to mean you're shutting the whole thing down temporarily because it seems the wiser thing to do from where I'M standing, but you have a much more complete view of the situation, and I can't even begin to understand your needs, so a more objective perspective may disagree that it's the wiser thing to do :lol:

Basically I'm writing like a nutjob because I'm not entirely sure what you meant, and I wanted to offer my own opinion without seeming too presumptuous, but I may be doing a bad job of it. Though it hardly matters anyways, because I have complete confidence that whatever you decide to do will be in everyone's best interests. Maybe I could have skipped this headache of a post and just asked for clarification though :lol:

I think he said earlier that any existing PF's you have are golden. I just have all my preorders done that will be coming in over the next few months.

Of course, he can still further clarify for you =)

** GFC Updates **

Okay so this is a BIG week for us and hopefully things will go as planned. We moved ALL 40 of the packages from UPS to the new building last night and opened every package. We've made a list of all items in there (mostly PF orders, though a few are DR orders from before we shut down the DR system). Here's what we're doing:

I will be adding a new section to the GYROS page that is dedicated solely to PF orders. Since the system is a bit vague right now with you guys shipping items to me and not having any updates until we invoice you, I'll be making a table that shows ALL PF orders and their statuses BEFORE I invoice you. This will make it a lot easier to follow your item statuses and keep you less in the dark.

After Sunday comes and goes, we will be fully moved into the new place. We likely won't have Internet there (aside from my iPhone) but we'll be moving our shipping facilities and equipment there so we can finally get things rolling along again. Almost all packages will be received by then, so then it just comes to a game of packing, shipping and updating the site.

Unfortunately, I just got news yesterday that the casino I work for is laying off 500+ people due to the economic conditions. My job is supposedly safe (for now) but there will be shuffling of departments going around and I'm crossing my fingers that my wife keeps her job as well. It's really a crazy time for everyone, so keep us in your prayers.

GFC will be fully back before you know it. Again, I want to sincerely apologize for anyone who has been disappointed with the service lately. It's been an emotional roller coaster for me the last couple of months and I'm nearing the end of this dark period. We will recoup, restructure and retool everything. We'll do everything we can to keep your faith in us.
 
I updated GYROS to show all the DR's that have come in. I'm going to ship as many out until 4:00 PM today and then I'll be updating the entire PF list. Things are moving along swiftly. I hope you guys like the new GYROS setup with the table setup. I'm doing my best to keep it tidy :)

(And btw, that's terrible news about the casino. The economy being bad is such a BS excuse, the economy is fantastic now compared to what it was, and it's not like a casino would ever hemorrhage money. Best of luck to the two of you though, with so many positive changes in your life, I'd hate to hear of anything more negative happening)
