GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. 3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.


Service Charges (GFC Premium):

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

gsrce, it's really devastating about the casino. I just learned that my wife may very well be losing her job in the next month or less and with a baby on the way that could potentially mean we lose our health care too (which we get through her position)....so yeah, it's really, really bad. And yes it is BS since the casino is actually doing quite well but isn't seeing month to month growth as they would like to. You know how it is in business, they're never happy with the numbers.

As for your order, I do plan to go back to the new place tonight to drop off some things so I'll try my best to get your invoice sent to you today otherwise it'll be tomorrow after work. We have power in the new place but no Internet and no computers/scales/etc. So it's been constant back and forth driving between the two. I'm hoping to setup a computer there tomorrow along with a printer so we can finally start working out of there. I can't wait until next week when we're all set up properly :) It'll be a huge weight off my shoulders.

I've literally been almost in tears knowing that a lot of customers are waiting on us to ship out things or invoice them and not having the means to do so with the move is nerve-racking. Next week will be such a relief for everyone :)
 
Oh and for the record, customs numbers starting with CJ typically ARE traceable as they are either Priority or Express mail (which has pseudo-tracking). It's not the same as a tracking number but you can often plug it in at www.usps.com for tracking and see when it reached Canada, cleared customs, etc. This isn't true for most first class packages, but it's worth a shot :) Good luck!

Thanks gsrce, I will stay positive =) I'm moving into a new place and still have my friends and family to cheer us up. Things will work out...they always do. I just wish it was a little easier on my wife. She has enough things going on that I wish she didn't have to worry about yet another thing with the work situation.

In the meantime I'll just work as many hours as I can with the casino and will spend the extra time I have at home doing GFC. We'll make it work ^_^ Thanks for your positivity and support, it's greatly appreciated! =)

One of the reasons I wanted to have everything by the end of the month Goomba was so I could get my early registration in for Metroid. If you think you may not be able to have everything out this week for me, given your circumstances, I'd be alright with you just opening the game and PM'ing me the code, and then getting the items out to me at your convenience.

Even with shipping to Canada you're still getting a good deal. Those sell for $70+ on ebay. That's not including the $30+ shipping someone on ebay would charge to ship it to you.
 
Guys we are almost there. I set up a make-shift office in my new place (computer/monitor/printer/scale/shipping supplies) but I do not yet have Internet. We're moving in our furniture on Sunday and hopefully will have Internet Tuesday. In the meantime I'm packing, weighing and getting packages prepped at the new place and then bringing them over to the old place to ship. Does anyone know if you can return an amazon.com product from canada? I did one of those "buy all 3 things" for convenience... and... well, one of them was incompatible (couldn't tell).

Yes, but you're going to have to pay for the return shipping. I've done it before once or twice, but try to avoid it due to the cost of shipping tracked to the U.S. (around $15)

I filled out the package forwarding request on GFC. I'd like to order the actual item but I still don't know the address of the UPS box I'm supposed to deliver it to? Am I doing this right? There are only 3 left in stock so I'd like to get this done today if possible?

Hey Goomba, if it isn't too much trouble, could you please open up the Civilization V Special Edition that I pre-ordered (when it arrives, obviously) and PM or email me the Steam key? I'd love to begin playing it as soon as possible. Only if it's convenient for you, though. If there's some efficient packaging system that precludes opening stuff or if you're just too swamped with everyone else's orders, don't bother.
 
Guys, we're officially moved into the new place (still no Internet, but I'm using my cell phone for short bursts and calling Comcast/Xfinity to hook it up this week). I'm going to stay home today to finish unpacking some of our things and get our package forwarding services up and running again :) I will keep you updated. Hey goomba I would like to try something but need your thought on this. Since I live in Canada, the XBL points are more expensive here. I know US points don't work on Canadian XBL accounts, but I also have a US XBL account. So I was thinking of getting US XBL points and putting them on my US account, do you know anyone who has done this before? I read that it should work.

Good news everyone. I called the cable company and they have confirmed they will be installing our Internet connection tomorrow evening. This means that as of tomorrow night I'll be able to do updates from the office again :) No more having to sync up with a cell phone and work all make-shifty. I'll be getting a lot of invoicing done and we can catch up at last ^_^ This move sure was a big process but it's nearly over. Can't wait to fully restore functionality on the site and restore some faith in our services again =P I'll update you individually very soon on all your orders and such. Just need Internet ^_^;;

Anyways, I was wondering how you do game credit from Amazon. I was looking at the LE of Castlevania Lords of Shadow and it has $20 credit available. Does that come off the price of the game?

If you order the game yourself and forward it to him, then you will get a credit on your Amazon.com account for future orders within about a week of the game shipping.

If Goomba orders it, he'll probably just give you the discount off of a future purchase, but these offers are usually only one per person, so Goomba may not be able to do it for you without you using PF and ordering it yourself.

We'll be packing on and off all day today and will be packing as many items as we can. Next week we'll be spending 3-4 days packing as well and doing GYROS updates throughout. Today I'll be focusing mostly on DR orders that need to go out and after that we'll start processing the PF's. Thanks guys :) I have no idea how I'll go about answering all the questions/emails but I'll try to do those after 5:00 PM most days when the post offices are closed. Talk to you all soon ^_^

As per my previous post, I would love to be able to have the code from Metroid by the end of the month, which is why I was rushing to have the items out to me so I'd have them by then, but since that won't happen, if you could just open the game and email/pm me to code, it would be appreciated. If you can do this, I'm not in (I have to have it registered by the end of this month in order to earn bonus points on it)

Hah! I definitely know what you mean. My computer completely died on me a few weeks ago and needs to be replaced, and I only found out on Friday that one of the parts I had ordered was a special order and could take god knows how long, so I had to cancel it and get something else. It will probably be a week and a half until I get a computer fully up and running (though I made no compromises on this one so it's worth the wait.)

In the meantime I've been doing pretty much everything on my cell phone. Thank god for my Nexus One with unlimited data... browsing could have been way more painful on a lesser phone with a limited plan heh
