GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. 3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey, just put in an order and paid for it for the Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Again thanks so much for the help :D Now the only bad part.... waiting over a month for it to come out :D but at least I can replay Oblivion during the summer break.
 
** GFC Rewards BETA is LIVE! **

Big news everyone! It may not be 100% perfect yet, but I spent the last week straight coding our new GFC Rewards program into place (the one I've been working out for nearly two years now). The good news is that it works, at least in my tests! So here's how it goes:

1) When you log into the GFC site and submit a Direct Request (DR) (Package Forwarding will be programmed in next week, so for now it's only on PF orders) while logged in, the site will keep track of your Service Charge Credits (SCC's).

2) If you have existing credits in your account already, they will be deducted up to 100% of your service charges for the order you are placing. If you do not have enough SCC credits to cover the full amount, you will pay the remaining service charge credits.

3) After you check out on the site and make your payment through Paypal, our system will INSTANTLY credit your account with your bonus SCC's (10% of your service charges). These will be immediately available on your account towards your next order. At the moment the site will not calculate the Rush orders as service charges, but that will be fixed soon (within the next couple of days).

4) Once you finish your order and check out, your new total Service Charge Credits should show up on the top of your homepage (if you're logged in of course).

I will have more information on this once it's all finalized for DR/PF orders, but this is a huge step and one I'm really proud of. Hope it works great for you guys :) Thanks!

Thanks Klopzi, that makes me feel a lot better :) After launching the GFC Rewards program I haven't made a single sale lol so I was getting a little bummed out. May tends to be a slow month for us, but it's the first time I haven't received any orders in 3 days. Hopefully June will be better though. I really have a lot of surprises in store for the Rewards program but I want to make sure that it's all worth it ^_^. Have fun with Portal 2 and thanks again!

Just in time because Canada Post will likely be going on strike tomorrow at 11:59 pm.

I have 2 other orders in the queue, one order from May 20th (order #1486899011) that I just emailed you about that you will likely be shipping soon.
You normally ship by USPS which uses Canada Post when it comes into Canada. I am not 100% sure, but my guess is that all your orders to Canada will be in limbo because of this strike. Is there another option eg. UPS, FedEX etc... that would circumvent this situation?
 
JamesX, Well yeah there’s always the UPS option. They just tend to cost a little more with a bit more chance of having higher brokerage fees, but if you’d like me to ship via UPS I can work out something with you and send an invoice for the difference. Let me know if you’d be interested in that. Thanks again! That really stinks about the Canada Post strike though…I was hoping they’d avoid it somehow =P BOO.
 
Argh.. I wish I found out about this before Gamefly's last used game sale ended :( I had added a bunch of games to my cart, about to check out, and then I realized they don't ship to Canada. I was so sad! I'll keep this in mind next time.

Does anyone know if there are issues associated with ordering an item with a Canadian credit card , and having it shipped to a USA address (gamesforcanada) ? I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.. Sorry
 
Aww that's too bad CACG. The good news is we're not going anywhere and we're growing every day :) Also, Gamefly has pretty frequent seasonal sales so I'm sure they'll have a great sale again very soon.

There typically is no issue with using a Canadian Credit Card as far as I know. We use Paypal as our primary payment method (which accepts practically every credit card) in USD. We can also take Google Checkout if you so choose. If you have any other questions feel free to ask either here or on our GFC Forums. Thanks again!
 
Hey everyone, I fixed a bug in the system that was causing some of you to not see your GFC Rewards when checking out. It is now fixed so you should be able to:

1) Redeem existing SCC's (Service Charge Credits) you have in your account when checking out. They will be deducted automatically from your account bank if you have them.

and

2) Earn 10% of all new Service Charges back as SCC's immediately available for your next purchase with us. This will work on both Direct Requests (DR) and Package Forwarding (PF) orders.

We will soon be doing the same thing for Canuck Bucks so you can have those deducted from your total upon checkout. Happy GFC'ing, see you all soon. Lots more to come with GFC Rewards so be sure to check the site (and our forums) often! ^_^

hi goomba, last november-ish i put an order for 2 items, a video game (it was either spiderman dimensions or yakuza 3) and a bottle of diesel cologne. i tried to get a hold of you but never got a response back, then i completely forgot about it. anyways do you still have them?? i remember you said you recieved the cologne last time. if so, how can we proceed so it can be delivered to me?
 
Hi Ka-boom057, I don't think I ever received payment from you for the shipping on either item but the video game never showed up. I know at one point we had the cologne and we still should, but it was so long ago that I'd have to check in storage. Typically speaking, any items that are left more than 3 months or more are put into storage or auctioned off to make room in the office (we have limited space). I will have to look around to see if your cologne is still around as I don't think we ever got rid of it. I'll let you know if I can locate it, thanks :).
 
OK I'll try to track it down. In the meantime here's a quick update on our referral program mentioned slightly above:

We are now one step closer to the final system. If your friends sign up using our aforementioned banner/link then you will be added as their referrer, even if they do not order anything immediately. What will happen is that in their account they will be listed as "READY" meaning that as soon as they complete their first service request with us, whoever is listed as their referrer will be credited their due credits. Once you have been credited, their status will switch to "COMPLETE". You will earn your credits immediately as will your friend for their transaction. Success!
 
I'm having some issues with the GFC Forums after I attempted to update to SMF 2.0 (I was using SMF 1.3 previously). I'll get it all straightened out though :) In the meantime feel free to post comments, questions or observations here ^_^ Thanks guys!

I had to change the theme to a simpler one because I upgraded to the newest SMF version and in doing so made my old theme outdated to the point that it wouldn't load links properly :( Oh well. I'll just have to re-customize the new one ^_^.

Yep, it's so bad that starting Saturday the United states postal service aren't accepting any packages bound towards Canada until the strike blows over...

I don't usually like the Conservatives but for once I'm glad they'll be introducing back to work legislation next week. Too bad it's so slow. At this rate I'll be lucky to see any mail before July :(

Unfortunately, it looks like the Canada Post strike may affect shipping more than we initially imagined. According to several news sources, the USPS will not accept packages to Canada as of midnight last night until Canada Post's strike ends. In the meantime if you'd prefer to have your items shipped via UPS, we can invoice you for the difference (UPS ships to Canada 2-3 days most places). Otherwise, we'll hold onto your packages until they re-open service to Canada.

Sorry that it's happened this way, but obviously I have no control over Canada Post =) Thanks for understanding guys!
 
Starting next week I will begin to offer UPS shipping as an option on GFC just so you know :) It's in the early stages of coding now. Thanks guys!
 
Actually, apparently if the shipper knows what he's doing and doesn't use the cheapest options the insane brokerage fees can be entirely avoided. Don't ask me how, I don't know. But maybe they're a reasonable alternative to Priority Mail International and such.
 
What is your policy on pre-orders to Canada?

I want to pre-order Dragon's Crown PS3 ($29.99 @ amazon.com) [release date is March 2012] but do I pay the full amount now if I use a credit card through paypal?

best way will be order from amazon with your own credit card and get it shipped to Goomba's address. Amazon won't charge you until the item is shipped, and once the item is shipped request an invoice from goomba :D
 
So this will be the first time I'll be using GFC ... just waiting for the admin to respond so I can fill out the form ... but I've just sent the package to the address from the GFC forums ... from what I've seen this will help alot with expensive shipping charges to get to Canada

We just recently moved all of our files and programs to a new (well not really new but newer) desktop so we had to migrate everything over. During this time I didn't realize that my Outlook Email wasn't set up entirely properly so I just got over 100+ Emails from you guys that I didn't receive in the last 5 days or so. If you put in an order with us recently (PF in particular) or wrote asking a question, just know that we're going through them all one by one and will be caught up within the next day or two. Hey guys thanks again for your new updates and questions and inquiries. I'm processing about 40 or so orders for GFC today so there's a lot to go through. GYROS will be 100% updated by tonight (by 8:00 PM more than likely) so if you don't see your order yet, no worries.

gsrce, I should have your invoice sent out to by the end of this weekend :) I think I've received all items with the exception of Hey Vern, but I'll try to locate it in the new boxes that came in (about 25 or so to go through still).

AznChaos, I have no way to really track it but you're right in saying it's been a while. It left New York on June 16th, but since it's First Class USPS I have no way to track it after that. My guess is that it just got delayed due to the Canada Post strike, so hang in there and hopefully it'll get to you any day now. I'll cross my fingers for you!

afterburn999, that's a negative unfortunately (unless they do a favor for you like ragnar14 mentioned). The Xbox Live Subscription cards work, but the points do not (no reason why that is). Thanks again!
 
Goomba, I wanted to see how much an item I was going to buy so I filled out the Package Forwarding request form. Just by habit I clicked OK and it told me that it sent.

I didn't buy the item from amazon because the shipping alone is about the same as the item. Order # is 1100319516, you can just ignore this. Sorry. :ziplip:
