GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey there guys, for those of you wondering I'm still here but I'm leaving for my trip on Monday. What this means is that today is my last day to properly invoice people. I've shipped out 99% of the items people have paid for and with the exception of one or two orders I've been able to send out invoices.

Darkstarripclaw, I've been going through your items (there's a bunch as you know) so I should get that invoice out to you today. As long as you pay before 4AM Friday, they'll go out in time. Otherwise I won't be able to ship them out until mid-October. But yes, I'll be back before Black Friday. The site will re-open on November 1st, 2011 which gives me time to retool the site in some ways to prepare for the holiday season.

Seeing as my track record is pretty high for jumping to a conclusion I know that I'm most likely wrong, but I just want to be sure.
 
Hi dancrane212, sorry I didn't get to write to you sooner. My system always applies payments in such a way that if any past order had a payment due it will first apply the funds to that transaction before putting it on the newest item/invoice. In your case, $3.00 from a past invoice that was unpaid was applied hence the $3.00 difference. Hope that makes sense. Unfortunately, I won't be able to mail out your Halo item before I leave though because the post office will be closed by the time I get home from my day job.

Oh and your second question, yes Paypal still charges the fees even if the payment is from a bank account. Thanks and I'll get your item out to you as soon as I get back. Talk to you soon!
 
OK so I shut down my site, my eBay and all the forms. Please everyone do NOT send me any packages until after October 18th. I'll officially re-open the site on November 1st when I'm back and have everything back running properly again. Thanks again for your support and see you in about a month ^_^. I'm off!

That's a major bummer considering my UPS store charges a dollar fee per day after 7 days and I'll be away for 3+ weeks :p. Please in the future ALWAYS use our site to submit requests (that goes for everyone). Cya guys soon!

Only one more week before I get back to the US, though it'll still be 11/01/2011 that I officially re-open the site for new orders. Thanks for all the Emails and support. I want to take advantage of a really good deal, but I'm not sure how long it will last. I haven't kept up in a long while though. So I'm wondering if I can just have it sent to your UPS box, so that I can just place the order with you once the pages on your site are put back up.

emjaymj, if you know my UPS box address go ahead and order it now. I'll be returning to the US on Tuesday so I'll pick it up on Friday or over the weekend if it comes in then. That should be fine. I'm not officially opening the site though until 11/01/2011 to work on some site updates. Thanks.
 
Oh and by the way emjaymj, yes I'm having a fantastic time. The food and weather couldn't be better and I've made a ton of friends (well they were my wife's friends first but now they're my friends too) and they've been the most amazing hosts ever. I'm excited to be returning home, but at the same time very sad I have to leave here. It's been a really great trip overall and it went by FAST (as all good trips do). Talk to you soon!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I'm officially back in the USA and getting ready for the GFC re-open. I'm still about two weeks away from restarting the DR/PF orders, but in the meantime I'm going to work on website updates, eBaying stuff in my basement to make room (and get some money after my trip) and get things up and going before the Black Friday/Christmas/Holiday rush that is mid-November and December. Hi Leshita,

Yes you can begin forwarding packages to me if you like. The site will go live again as of 11/01/2011 but if you have my address for the UPS address (Willimantic) it hasn't changed. You can get a head start. Just know that the first week or two opening the site we're likely to get a ton of orders so we'll do our best to keep up with them :). Also, Black Friday is around the corner (before you know it anyway) so it'll be good to get some orders in before then. Looking forward to doing business with you guys.
 
** GFC MEMBERSHIP CHANGES COMING SOON **

Just wanted to let you guys know that we'll be changing the GFC structure ever so slightly. We will be moving towards a Free/Paid Membership system that works something like this in a nutshell:

We have free accounts that work for the most part the site always has. Anyone can open an account, you can place orders and earn rewards and all that. The main difference is that in the past we've always discounted orders ($2.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional) and within the next couple of weeks free accounts will no longer receive this discount. It won't affect you much if you're placing a single item order and will only be a few dollars more for larger orders.

Paid accounts will have the existing discounts as well as new ones, and you'll earn SCC rewards at a higher percentage as well. The membership tiers will be clearly listed on the site and can be activated at any time for a small monthly fee. I'm going to allow you to change your membership tier at any time for now, so you can be a free member as long as you like but when you're going to be placing a bigger order you can bump yourself up for that month to get the discounts. You can use this to your advantage.

I think it's a fair way to generate more income for the site as I want to grow larger and will need additional funds to do so, as well as reward the more frequent customers and those who order more. I'll have all the details on the site very soon and you'll see it's actually a good thing overall for our site. Thanks guys. Feedback is always welcome of course.

Just wanted to say that the GFC services are officially live again today. Granted, I have to reboot all the pages so there may be some glitches there (if you see any let me know). It'll be about a week before I introduce the Free/Paid membership dichotomy so for now things will be just like we left off.

For those of you with orders that were placed when I was away, I'll be adding them to GYROS and processing them one by one this week. By the end of the weekend I should be mostly caught up and we'll be moving onto greener pastures. Glad to be back. Hope to do business with you guys soon.

Oh and if you did place an order but haven't put it into our system, please sign into your account and set up a new order with either the DR or PF service (whichever you used) and in the comments mention that you already ordered it. Thanks!

Hey JJ great to see you back! I hope you had a great trip in China =) Just a couple things I wanted to ask:

I have previously made 2 order with you guys (invoice #'s 1515 and 1620) for which I received some service charge credits for doing so however I no longer see them when I log onto my account =S. I was just wondering what happened to them as I wanted to use them towards my next order with you guys.

Also, I was interested in placing an order with you through Amazon.com for a set of Grado G-Cush headphone earpads and I have a $25 amazon.com (not .ca) gift card that I would like to apply to the order. They initially cost $45.00 so the total outstanding balance before service charges/taxes would be $20.00. How should I go about doing this?

Service Charge Credits (SCC's) don't expire so as long as you earned them they should show up in our system. The way it works though is that with each order you place on our system, the site will automatically deduct any SCC's you have up to the full price of the service charges. So is it possible that already redeemed the ones you had? If not, I'll look into it for you. I'm at work now though so I have no access to my office files.

With Amazon orders (in relation to Gift Cards), just put it in as a Direct Request with us. Mark the cost of the item down $25 on the form and include the Gift Card code in the comments to apply to your order. Or, alternatively you could use the Package Forwarding service and just pay for it yourself, redeem the gift card towards the purchase price and have it shipped to us. Either way works. Thanks again :)

Yeah if you could check to see what my SCC's are at that would be great! Also, I'm trying to place an order on amazon.com using the Package Forwarding method (since the gift card is already linked to my account), however it requires that I enter your number as well which (for privacy reasons I assume) you didn't disclose on your website. If I could get your number that would be great.

Hey James,

I submitted a Package forwarding form on Nov.1st, the Gyro system still doesn't have the update and I have recieved information from Amazon.com news about the package. Some have been split in two, instead of the original one package, and some have arrived, some still in transit and some still waiting for shipment.

I was wondering how do I give you updates on these things?
 
Hey there guys, just letting you know I spent the last two days fixing up my car after a particularly nasty flat tire, but I've got it repaired and I'm back in the office. I'll be working on GYROS today and tomorrow as well as updating and packing orders as they come in.

Bragarb07, I just got them thanks. I'm doing my next pickup of packages this week and will work on grouping your items into a box to maximize your shipping efficiency. I'll let you know once I've received everything :)

whitehawk, the fees on the site include all sorts of things: Shipping to Canada, Our GFC Service Charges, Pickup costs and/or payment fees. Hope that makes sense. If the item weighs less than you estimate it's possible that it'll cost a little less.

Faytz, I'm still working on updates because the system I'm using is being configured differently as we speak but I'm still processing all the orders. My flat tire scenario meant I lost a little editing time over the weekend but I'm off the next couple of days and will be working around the clock. Thanks again! I'll updated ASAP ^_^.
