GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.


Service Charges (GFC Premium):

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

I can vouch for Dropbox being a great program, I've been using it for about a year now. Dropbox is the best though as it allows you to use ANY file type and converts it to be used on your smartphone/ipod touch. (PDF, JPG, WORD, etc.)

Box is also a great program, which gives you 5gb to start out with instead of the 2gb Dropbox offers. (I use both programs!)

It has come to my attention today that a number of orders were recently refused at my UPS Store. I do not know the details of this but both buyers had indicated to me that they followed the directions fully on the site, and yet the orders will still returned to the shippers. This may be a result of many customers ordering with both my name and their name on the package (a BIG no-no) or just their name (even worse). If this is the case, there's a good chance that my UPS Store will no longer do business with us.

I will be looking into this in the next few days and get to the bottom of it, but I'll be temporarily stopping all future PF orders until we can come to an agreement with them. If you have already placed a PF order, we'll let you know if we have received your items in the next few days. If you have tracking available and it says returned to sender, please let us know along with the tracking number.

Very sorry for this guys, but a lot of new customers haven't followed the instructions and it looks like it may cause me to change how I do PF orders entirely. As you know, I'll be shutting down the site to free users tomorrow anyhow for our month off, so maybe this will be good timing as far as restructuring goes. I'll update you as soon as I have more information.

I just typed up a 5 paragraph update about the new things going on with GFC but CAG crashed when I submitted it so I lost all that typing. I'll keep you updated in great detail soon but here's the QUICK version:

1) GYROS update tomorrow
2) Working out things with UPS Store
3) PF system will relaunch on 04/20 for Premium Members
4) Trial system for GFC Premium launching in a week or two
5) GFC Bank is entering alpha stage
6) Loyalty Points System launching in May

More on all of these soon (hopefully CAG won't crash on me next time!)

I know you're busy but I have email you 2 times at GFC Website Contact Us. Anyway, I'm interested in using your services. Can you estimate roughly what is the shipping rates to Singapore or even Asia? Let's say for a bag or even a pair of shoes.

Some of the US site do ship to Singapore & Asia using FiftyOne but their rates kind of steep. Do you accept payments in other form beside PayPal? Would appreciate it if you could provide the info needed. Thanks.:D
 
Receive my package from you but after opening it the Triple pack dvds i noticed there was only 2 dvds in there and not 3 dvds. I wish you had open them and took a look. I will email gohastings and see whatsup

oOutre, sorry about that. We're having some issues with the "Contact Us" link on the site for some reason. I'm thinking I'm going to rewrite that whole section. I'd be happy to estimate some shipping prices for you though. The average pair of shoes or bag weighs about 3 pounds and for Singapore I highly recommend using USPS Priority Mail which comes to about $42.00 USD for shipping approximately. Shipping and pair of shoes and a bag together you'd save and it'd be around $56.00 USD for the shipping portions. What other forms of payment were you looking for? We can accept Amazon Gift Cards alternatively. Thanks!

It seems my item was sent but UPS said your address doesn't exist ... also I couldn't do PF since I didn't notice it will be closed till May 15 :/

update: "they "think" they found the right addy in their system" which doesn't give me a lot of confidence ... well anyway it was sent today and I have the tracking number should I sent it here on Cag or email?

I asked you to place an order for cards for me in Feb 17 I believe. I know that they did not send ship the order the last time I asked you over a month ago. I assumed they have not shipped yet. So I was wondering what was going on with it. I tried emailing you awhile back but your email was messed up. If they have not shipped yet then can you cancel the order? Thanks.

** GFC Premium Update **

Just wanted to let you guys know I'm furiously coding away the GFC Premium features into the GFC Site. As it stands now, if you're upgraded to GFC Premium you should see the Package Forwarding link load on the sidebar now (you need to be logged in of course). If you're a free/standard member then you should NOT see the Package Forwarding link. This is intentional. The link will appear back once the BETA is over on 05/20 but until then if you are not a GFC Premium member, please do not ship anything to our PF address/UPS Store.

If you're interested in becoming a GFC Premium Member, please follow these steps (they are also listed on the main page now):

We're happy to announce that our GFC Premium program has now officially launched (in Beta). This means that you can join and receive discounts on our standard service charges, as well as pre-load credits for further savings. If you'd like to join, please follow these steps:

1) Register for a free account on GFC (if you haven't done so already). The link is HERE.

2) Go to our GFC store and purchase a one-month subscription to GFC Premium. Be sure to use the same Email address that you used from step 1. Currently we are offering one month subscriptions only, but we'll have a one year option very soon as well at a further discounted rate. Please note you'll need a separate login for our store...this will change in the near future. We recommend you use the same username/Email/password that you use on the main GFC page. Goomba, is it at all possible to include my order (2310 / 744386011) the next time you ship out? There's a sale on lenses at my favourite optical shop for the next couple of weeks and perhaps I might be able to receive the frames in time to take advantage of it. Like Derfel, it's been a month since my package was delivered to you and I must admit experiencing some amount of frustration as the prolonged waiting continues.

Hi Goomba, I purchased the premium membership but I still can't seem to log into the site to see package forwarding. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
 
Just another day processing and shipping. I got sent home a bit early from my regular job today so I'm expecting to get a good deal of packing done. I will continue to keep GYROS updated and will be working more on the "GFC Bank" coding as well. See you guys soon ^_^.
 
** GFC Rewards Store BETA **

I just wanted to let you know another update I'm working on (so many, I know lol) is the GFC Reward Store. It'll work basically like our existing store, except you can use your Canuck Bucks and existing credits to get items (that will include shipping as well). This will launch in June but I started the major coding for it today :). More on this soon. This will likely take the place of lowball auctions for a lot of cheaper items as it's easier for me to list them. Thanks guys and talk to you soon.

hey goomba...haven't used the service in a while

any idea how much a DVD season (boxset) weighs? I know on your site it says 1 dvd is 7 ounces (give or take).

i wanted to order in 5 seasons of a show off amazon.com and am trying to get it shipped to ontario as cheap as possible. Amazon is charging $19 to ship the 5 season as well as $27 import fee deposit (which may get refunded). Do you think it'd be cheaper to order from you or should I just order directly from amazon?

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up that our PO BOX for our business (previously in Uncasville, CT) will be changing. So please do NOT ship anything there as it will be returned. This is not our UPS box we use for Package Forwarding, as that will remain unchanged for now. Thanks :)

kyle071785, it really depends on the box set. I've had ones as light as a pound or less and others weighing 10 pounds or more. It usually is determined by how many discs it has and the weight of the extras/packaging. What show is it? I can try to estimate it for you :) Thanks!
 
** IMPORTANT SHIPPING ANNOUNCEMENT**

Just wanted to let you know that today (5/16/2012) the USPS (US Postal Service) announced they will no longer allow sellers to ship anything that contains a lithium battery. What this means is that I will no longer be able to use USPS to ship:

* Laptops
* Cell Phones
* Video Game Devices
* Other items that contain lithium batteries

This is in response to international aviation laws and will remain on the books until 01/01/2013 when it'll be reviewed and possibly reversed.

So please do NOT order any of these items to our package forwarding location. If you'd still like to order these items through Direct Request, please note that we'll have to ship via UPS or FedEx as they will continue to allow us to ship lithium battery items. ** GFC Bank BETA Preview is Live **

This has been a long time coming, but we're finally unleashing the GFC Bank. In a nutshell this lets you see all of your credits (Canuck Bucks, Service Charge Credits & Shipping Buffer Credits). If you have leftover funds from past transactions you can transfer between them and request refunds for extra shipping credits available. The forms on the site don't actually work yet (purchase/exchange buttons) but you can see where we're going with this. If you're logged in it should work, though it's very likely that not all of your credits will show up.
