Deal in title starts tomorrow. Not sure if it's all stores, but but the manager at the one by me said it should stack with edge- he also let me hold about a dozen dvds (ATHF box sets will be like $3 after all discounts) Happy Hunting-

Select "Used" in the upper right hand side of the top bar "Featured Shops", then from the list on the left, "Platforms", select "Game Boy"

Right now I get 42 different items that pop up. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Show Backordered Used Products that may be available at stores". I get 564.

Then go through the list, find the ones you want, click on them, enter your zipcode and check for any local stores that may have a copy.

Well they aren't being clearanced, yet. What was the progression for GB/GBC clearance? Someone said they stopped taking trade-ins last February. How soon did the markdowns happen? (I didn't get involved in the clearance until it went to 75% off.)

Just a guess, but maybe they won't do as quickly with Xbox as they did with GB/GBC games since you can play many of the Xbox games on the 360 while the GB/GBC colors don't work in the DS.

When you do a search, there's a pulldown menu for system right below. Select "Gameboy" (it will include GBC games). You likely won't get any results, but clicking the red "Show" backordered products button will bring up the game. There are a couple games I tried finding that aren't on the site at all, however (Mega Man IV and V and Revelations: Demon Slayer).

Also, if you leave the search field blank and choose Gameboy from the pulldown menu, all the games come up and you can sort by price, etc.

EDIT: Nuts. I type slow.

WTF is a Tommy Hilfiger GBC? Looking on vgpc.com, there's some special edition Gameboy or Gameboy Color with a sewing machine or something, I think it's called the Isaak Gameboy (as in Isaak Misrahi?), listed at $500...what the hell is that thing?

I seriously can't believe you're able to find such great stuff still. I combed about 20 gamestops in my region (Chicago) and did ok, but there definitely can't be any replenishment happening, and this sale is super stale, at 4 months old. I gave up looking for the most part.

I doubt Xbox will ever get fully clearanced, maybe at best B2G2 coupons or temporary drops, but I'm betting that they won't drop the prices seriously ever, as long as the inventory fades. I would bet that the goal is to be down to a rack in some stores and zero in others by the fall so that they can spread out the more spendy store stock for the holidays.

The Tommy is just yellow with a Tommy logo. I have one boxed. There was a sewing machine made with an interface for the GB. I believe it was just a cable connecting it. Definitely not any relation to the fashion designer Isaac. It would have to be called the Gay Boy if that were the case. Where's my drummer? Seriously that is not offensive. Unless any use of the word 'gay' is instantly offensive. In which case it should be the g-word.

well I think it's my area.. the gamestop in my local mall is one of the top 10 stores in the country and yea.. so there's a lot.

I actually talked to a district manager and he told me that there's a store that has 57 gameboy color's in stock. My jaw dropped to the floor. One of these days I'll hit that store and check it out.

another thing, out of about 10 stores, 1 store has had their gameboy stuff out on the floor. most of the stores have it in the back of the store in huge boxes.

again, another thing the DM told me when he called me was that there's a "gold mine" store with a bunch of games that I completely missed... so I'll be going there one of these days.

Wow too bad the ass manager was there again and he wouldnt let me look at the games. I hope he isnt there later or tomorrow. also how accurate is the locator because they didnt have a lot of the games that it said they should have

But yea, I was at this store just yesterday, and the guy pulled out 1 bag of games and I got what I posted above.

Then, after the DM told me about all these other games, I called there again and the manager of that store was like "yea, we have those". I wanted to go off at him, but I just figured I would after I bought all his games :)

Yeah, when I bought all those games today the cashier was really excited. I think it makes their store look good because of all the used games that were sold (even if they only totaled $13).

And while we were there, the guy behind the counter goes "Do you want any pokemon guides?" So I said, "Sure, how much?" and he goes "free." so I was like uhh yea sure, I'll take em! and then, he pulls out more penny guides that were en route to the trash can. 10 minutes later, I ended up with this:




And the overall haul:




I must say, it was a pretty good day :D

Oh yea, and I picked up one of their two copies of big bang mini and their only used copy of Wii Sports. :)

It was sold at Macy's for $57.50 with a certain amount of money purchased on Tommy Hilfiger clothes in the boys department.
 
If your local Gamestop stores don't carry any of these games, try your local pawn/used shops. I'm starting to see a trickle down effect around town here lately. Pawn shops are starting to get floods of games in for gameboy & gameboy color. Granted they aren't at the nice 85% off price, and my want list could wrap my house, but I've been still finding some deals to fill in my specific wants with.

Which while I'm thinking of it, does anyone have a Spy VS Spy they would part with? :)
