No it's b/c St. Louis County now requires ID on any trade/pawn regardless if its for store credit or cash and it's to help track down merchandise that has been stolen to get cash and the person who stole it.

Mine was free (cashier screwed something up and the manager said "enjoy the free membership"). Only had it 2 months now. I shop at gamestop maybe 3 times a year, don't flip, and keep all my games. I don't think I'll be getting much out of the program, though I do enjoy the magazine next to the toilet

I'm pretty sure if they dig in their system they can look up trade ins, but on the main page when they swipe your card it only shows the last six purchases.

I'm probably going to go to GS today to trade in my copy of Forza Horizon. I was in a Blockbuster earlier, but I didn't see anything of note. What are the games that people have been getting at Blockbuster to flip? I probably didn't look through the big bins hard enough.
 
the bbv games to look for to flip, altho i had no luck, were some 2012 wii sports games like fifa or madden, and alice madness returns. i think those were main ones.

also if you are trading in killzone trilogy make sure to grab the dlc code sheet also for all kz2/kz3 map packs. if thats your thing ;) i got an extra anyway.

also got an extra far cry 3 bestbuy dlc for xbox. also here is a redbox game rental good til friday midnight(altho probly lurked in 20 mins) - D7MV45ZT

Cool. I just accidentally bought Assassin's Creed PS3 during the glitched GameStop.com Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Effectively paid about $7.50 for it. Sooo, yeah. Profit on accidental purchase :)

Just Dance 4 is $28 for a used xbox, ps3, or wii copy right now, if you have 16000 reward points you can get a $20 off a used game coupon and then get it for $7.20. The trade in on both versions is $25 (+ 10% of base value with PUR Pro) so you can get $17.80 credit + %10 base value that can be used on anything you want like during a b2g1 sale.

Or, I'm thinking about renewing my Power Up Rewards Pro membership earlier than I was going to so I can get the b2g1 free voucher and get a wii/xbox/ps3 version ($16.80 each) to trade in before these trade in values go down.

How come the first post says the trade-in value for Madden 13 for Xbox 360 Is $35? I have tried calling two Gamestops by me and both of them told me their trade-in values are $17 and another $1.70 for reward members.

You need to go in, scan these games, then enter PUR.

cuz the actual amount doesn't show until you apply your PUR account to the trade in at the end..

I have a question. How do they test the controller? Since my ps3 controller comes with a ps3 bundle, I do not have a case and usb cable. Do they accept my trade-in?

They should no problem :) I traded in a couple PS3 dualshocks and Move controllers without any USB cables. In my case, the controllers were charged so they just made sure the light blinked and that the controllers were in good shape. Could vary from store to store of course.

That means I just bring the controller to there without a case and then they will accept and test it? If so, after I trade in my old controller, I use credit to buy a move controller.
 
100% positive its the new one BUT apparently it was a one day sale (yesterday) :cry:. i was about to get it yesterday after part 1 of my massive trade dump but thought i'd sleep on it, even called at night to make sure they'd be on sale thru the weekend so i could pick up today. went back today and found out it was a 1 day sale (like the dre beats headphones are on sale today instead)..so yeah, im bummed. gonna go back tomorrow to trade more games, just gonna save 100 in gs credit in case they ever go on sale again.

You do not need a case for the controller to trade in to GStop.

Yeah, just remember that you won't see the $35 until after they scan your powerup card.

Thank you J7. I hope my controller can be traded in $22 too. If the trade-in value is lower than I expected after they test , can I reject it?

You're welcome. Base value should still be $22. It would be $24.20 if you have a PUR Pro account. Just ask them you want to know the value before you trade it in, the value usually shows up on the credit card scanner before you finish the trade. If it's not the value you want you can tell them you don't want to trade it.
