How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of a game (per system) within a rolling 30 day period.

What do I need to trade in an older console?​

the console, power cable, av cable, and controller; sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3ds xl trade would be console, charger, stylus. Some have reported being charged refurb fee for a stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)​

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO

ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.

Thanks all. I was able to move a TON BB->GS->BB thanks to my girlfriend being willing to help out. We maxed both GCU accounts with all of the available purchases, cleaned out a GS and then maxed out the available credit movers by trading back to BB.

The two BB CS were racing each other to see who could finish first, since they knew we both had the same exact set of trades.

I was also able to save around $250 worth of new cases for eBay :whistle2:

I'm not doing this driving around buying and trading games for the employee's experience.

I'm in this to make money just like everyone else who's flipping games from store to store.

 
IDGAF about GameStop employees.  You're making it more difficult for fellow flippers who trade at places that require games to be complete.  

 
fuck BB. I apparently alerted the system of fraudulent activity when i tried to trade in 12 games. The cashier didn't know at first so she asked me if I traded in one of the games before since I was trading in multiple versions of the same game. I said yes like an idiot about trading in BFII because I had traded in 2 BFII PS4 and XBONE before. I didn't go over the limit so I thought I messed up somewhere. The manager allowed it as a one time exception and they said from now on only 3 at a time. She wouldn't take BFII so I'll just mail it and try my luck. I was so nervous because I thought I was going to take a huge loss. I also got three 5,000 bonus points, one 15,000 bonus points and one 10% off preowned game from the scratch offs.

Pretty sure the disk is useless w/o the code inside as you wouldn't have access to any of the non-Battle Royale modes.
 
Seems like I might be the only one or one of few just looking for some good deals to play and not flip stuff?
It's like 2 hours of driving to the nearest bb lol

Unless I got ripped off from gamestop. My disc copy never came with a code. Since nobody on my friends list play it anymore. I know of a few companies who will take it on trade. I just have to mail it.

Indeed. Without easy B2G1 frees this was more of a great churning day. If these purchases add to BBYs elite $1500 yearly countdown I'll be so happy. At least got some reward points and maybe $10-15 on every hundred moved each way. And a boat load of OW loot boxes . And the movers helped blend in the Redbox crap.

Even though my nearest Best Buy is 10 minutes away, I find the idea of flipping and also moving credit absolutely exhausting. I've only just started lurking this topic a few weeks ago, when I decided to clear out most of my gaming collection, and also upgrade my aging launch PS4 to a Pro. With all the trading and buying I was doing I went ahead and got an Elite Pro card from GS. The wildest thing I've done so far was use my B2G1 coupon to only pay $3 for Assassin's Creed Origins by also buying two Switch games and boomeranging them back to GS.

 
On the plus side found a gamestop that still sells retro, on the other i got three 10% scratch offs today.

They don't feel super useful to me -_- , would have enjoyed some variety.

if only i could stack these lol

Edit: also used a buy 2 get 1 today which of course didn't stack properly with the extra ten percent for today's pro day.

Anyone knows if i turn my Powerup Rewards points into GS online coupons, the pro-day discount will get taken off or will it stack??

PS. Decide to do last minute shopping with my PowerUp points but not sure if i'd get screwed if the price revert back to regular price.

I was able to flip towards 2 xbox one x, 2 pubg , 2 black controllers , 50 gift card reward cert, free monster Hunter xbox reward cert.... Cheers guys

The deluxe has been on sale twice during the weekly Xbox sales since BFriday. It's a great price at $25. Sold my vanilla version to GS for $15 to buy the deluxe.

 
i am still debating on getting the ps4 version now or the xbox one version in hope of it getting xbox one x patch.  I bough a ps4 seal one from store today and order xbox  one online since local store are selling gutted copy.  

 
So I got five scratch cards during pro day. Three of them are 10% pre-owned coupons and the other two are 50% trade in bonus. Looking to trade for reward points codes. PM me if interested.

 
Anybody else worried that there might be an issue with redeeming more than 1 code to an account  I entered in 4 already with no issues, but hoping my account doesn't get flagged.

I got (1) 50% extra trade credit and (1) 10% off any pre-owned game for trade which should be 20% for Pro and 30% for Elite.

Lol, tax day sale has b2g1 on all ls4 and xbox1 games, looks like it has all the deals pretty much from pro day. Goes to show you how much pro day sucked. Lol
 
Well i though i might be done with GS to BB credit moving but it looks like Destiny 2 may be another item to move for Xbox one at least.  May use a $5 cert on a PS4 copy.

 
I'm a Pro member that is hoping to trade in Zelda BOTW, Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey, and Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) today.  The Pro membership expires fairly soon.  Late March or early April, iirc. 

Would it be wise to upgrade/re-subscribe prior to trading these in, or would it not even be a wash?
