They don't have to handle cash (where an error can occur), making their drawer off.

They don't have to get into the safe as often for cash.

Keeps it all in store. Not handing you money to go across the street and buy it for less.
Also makes it more likely there will eventually have to deny a trade later when they don't have enough cash to hand out.

Thanks to the poster that pointed out the CoD BO3 PS4/XB1 flip to BB with a b2g1 coupon.  I renewed last week and had no idea what to get.  Nice 26 dollar turn around.

Did Gamestop get rid of the ability to view your trade history online?  I can't seem to get detail on what I traded in, just the number of PUR points I received.

Anyone notice any price increases on backward compatible games?  In two Gamestops that I went to, they had special handmade displays on the walls saying "Now Compatible with Xbox One" and had several games with 8-9 dollar pricetags

Supply and Demand

There's a promo that says 'Get $25 credit when you trade these titles towards The Division'. Anyone know what titles?

so are the flips dead ?
as is gamestop.com

only b2g1 coupon is PUR Pro renewal, yes.

glad none of the games I traded in today were on that division list. Far Cry Primal is down to $25 tiv at gamestop ($35 at BBY still), only a week old. its a 30 hour platinum so not really surprised, no replay value at all and the game is pretty meh. I traded it in though, so probably will jump to $40 base next week

Is this $25 extra trade credit (on top of the games' TIV's) or do they just bump the value of said games to $25?

Man, I would have made an extra few bucks if I held on to Dying Light....oh well.

I just wanted to double check, is the only B2G1 coupon available right now the one you get from renewing PUR or is there some other one I'm missing?
apparently there's a b2g1 on preowned ds & wii games going on without a coupon according to https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/354715-b2g1-free-used-wii-and-nintendo-ds-gamesaccessories-gamestop-2-29-320/

Does anyone else have a trade list error atm? Can't save anything on the app or website, when I try it it says: "Trade Estimate Error. There was an error while trying to process your trade estimate. Please try again later." I think it happened on my 100th save too lol, is that what caused the error o_O Been this way for prolly the last 2 wks or so

Since this is also a promo thread, I think it's appropriate to ask here.

Back in December GameStop had a 50%(?) off strategy guide sale. This included the Twilight Princess CE guide and Star Fox CE guide. I ordered both online but ordered them for in store pick up to avoid shipping costs.

When I went to pick up the Twilight Princess guide, the register would not recognize the discounted price. It rung up as MSRP instead. I had to explain everything and the employee manually adjusted it. He couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Any ideas?

When you do a pre-order from the website it shows as a pre-order with $0 under your profile. It applies that with the in store price, that hold is just to confirm inventory for the store.

Have to order online and ship to get the promo price.

So the order confirmation email with the price breakdown and everything is worthless? Can this be avoided if I preorder in person?

Maybe the wrong place to ask this but is there anyway to change shipment method for a pre order game? I have Zero escape 3 watch edition as an in store pick up at my local GameStop but I'm gonna be moving in August. I'm asking in case it doesn't come out till after August.

Yeah if you want the price that's online you have to have the website ship the item to you, not pickup in store. All pickup in store on a preorder does is make sure one is sent to the store for you and you have $0 down on it.

So am I seeing this right that GS is now offering the same price for cash trades? Seems a bit weird.
It's been running for a minute now and I believe the promo ends on the 8th.

You are late to the party. We are all hundreds of dollars richer due to a multiple promo overlap. None of us have anything really valuable in our backlogs anymore. But we all have the cash to fill it right back up.

Unfortunately, all the Trade in values have been nuked for the most part so the party is indeed over.

I just don't have the time right now to keep up with the trade game but I am glad people were able to clean house.

Thanks to flippers...
Actually, I'd say its due to the smart people who would allow their company to buy back something for more than double what they sold it for.

Would anyone recommend the DLC for Red Dead Redemption? I was thinking about picking up the game of the year version

Undead Nightmare is amazing so yes you should

Just a heads-up. Project CARS is getting a GOTY edition, and the value is currently at $10 (before PUR), I wouldn't be surprised if it drops soon since places should be dumping their extra vanilla copies (Best Buy recently had it on sale for $10 (before GCU) and is now OOS of the PS4 version). The current going price for both console versions at most retailers is $20, with Amazon having the Xbone version for $15.

Game of the Year edition? The game was good, but why the heck is it getting a GOTY edition lol? That game is nowhere near GOTY of 2015.

It's a marketing thing, don't worry about it. I guess it allows them to make an Ultimate Edition if they release even more DLC after this edition.
