Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 is my new guilty pleasure. I shouldn't be enjoying the game at all...

I've been thinking about picking Animal Crossing up for a while. I really enjoyed it on the DS and I feel I'll might enjoy the game more on the Wii. It always felt a little strange playing it on a DS.

Why not? It's a good game.
I got bored after a month or two as it's exactly the same game.
Someone doesn't appreciate the true definition of next-gen.

It needs moire Red Frame and Heavy Arms to be considered awesome. And throw a little Exia into the mix. You can say what you will about Gundam 00 the Exia is one of my favorite Gundams.

Ouch. It's like you made it a point to mention all the worst Gundam series in one post. Just need to toss 0083 in there to make it complete.

Quiet you, Gundam SEED Astray(and Lowe Gear) is the only good thing to come out of SEED. Besides Destiny is already in the game and you can't get much worse than that... it even makes Gundam 00 S2 look decent(Which sucked ass well). But in the end I don't really care about the plots of the shows I just enjoy the some of Gundam designs.
G Gundam rocks!
G-Gundam is awesome in a horrible kind of way. I mean it has a Gundam in a School girl uniform.... Which is totally awesome and should have been in Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

The PS3 and 360 version will be known in Japan as Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid Special. The game features a number of improvements over the PSP version. Obviously, the visuals are being brought up to console standards. Other changes include a new system where the CPU controls your three ally generals.

The biggest change, however, could be in the game's online play support. The PSP version offered support for local play. On PS3 and Xbox 360, the game is fully online, allowing for four players to play cooperatively and competitively. Koei is even including support for text and voice chat.
You guys would be interested.

Y'all see the photos of that lifesize Gundam statue they built in Japan?

I don't know a damn thing about it, but that statue was fuckin' all kindsa awesome.

I've seen some videos of it too. Apparently they even have some steam come out of it's vents. I wish I could get a chance to see that thing up close...

Honestly, I'm not too interested. I didn't like Strikeforce at all. It played less like a DW game, and more like a bad Monster Hunter rip off.

I'm not ashamed to say I got teary eyed the first time I saw that thing completed.

After buying Rock Band, I agreed to myself that I wasn't going to buy anymore games until my copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum came from Argos, as I've still got the following to play/complete:

GTAIV
Fallout 3
Prince of Persia
Crackdown
Mass Effect
The majority of The Orange Box
Street Fighter IV
Rock Band
Max Payne

Then I saw Braid, that I have to buy. And Marvel vs. Capcom 2. And Point Lookout. And Bioshock. And Dead Space. And Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. And COD4. And Gears of War 2. And Prototype. And Red Faction. And GAAAH, WHY MUST I WANT EVERYTHING
Other than the demos for both games, I haven't even played them, ninja dog. ;-)

30 hours into SR2. Holy crap.
I may have to get SR2 to tide me over before Gay Tony. I'm pretty done with Crackdown, to be honest.
Holy shit coldplay tomorrow!

You should have someone shamelessly steal your tickets without acknowledging it, then you can be just like Chris Martin!

Enjoy!

I saw them in May and it was a fantastic show.
Its been flying under my radar until the recent Game Informer but I think Rage has just been added to my most anticipated list.
Yeah Rage looks good, my only concern is that article talks about the developers struggling to fit it all on a DVD and not being able to split it across 2 for some reason, so I wonder if the 360 version might be gimped.

Picked up MvC2 last night, the memories came flooding back from the day I bought it for my Dreamcast, 10 years and 1 week ago.

Dead Rising is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard!
It gets a lot easier when you get the mini-chainsaws and the 3 books that make them last for ages. That was a game changer for me, made things way more fun.

I think I know where one of those books are, maybe 2, but not all 3. I still need to go back and do the good ending though. I have the Real Mega Buster, so that should definitely help.

Amusing anecdote: me and my one friend have always been really big on zombie games, going back to playing RE/RE2 as kids, so we were both PUMPED about Dead Rising. We both bought our 360s around the same time with Dead Rising. Realizing I was always getting killed, I decided to go for zombie genocider and level up in the process. Did it, got the real mega buster. My friend told me he was having trouble so I told him to do the same. He comes to school the next day and says, "I spent all night getting that achievement. Then I started a new game. I didn't get the mega buster."

So I'm all, "Man...you played to the ending, right? Otherwise it doesn't unlock."

*beat*

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK."

Mega buster makes the game easier since you can pretty much take out a boss with a few shots. If the aiming was better, the game would be a cakewalk, but I guess there would be no challenge then.

My first time impressions of Dead Rising.

Ahem.

"Ooooh, this is like Pokemon Snap! Cool stuff!"
"Ah man, it's mall time!"
"WTF, everybody's already dead!? Stupid lady and her dog."
"Time for me to go zombie hunting, finally."
"I'm going to be such a badass at this game. Gonna save everyone!"
"Let's go buddy! C'mon! Hey, stop getting hit, stop dying, run around them you idiot! Oh shit I'll help. Crap, I'm getting eaten too! RUUUUUNNNN! Screw you guy!"
"Oh crap, my first boss, at least I have a gun, this should be easy"
:looks up, hits RT to aim, am pointing somewhere ass backwards: WTF?!
:takes 10 minutes to get used to shooting:
:still sucks:
"Oh shit, a crazy clown.
Oh shit, a crazy clown I can't touch."
:dies:

I'm not quitting though, I like it enough to keep going.
I'm just not going to be the badass I thought I was going to be. Everyone dies this time.

Dead Rising is meant to be played over and over again.

I ended up restarting from the beginning when I hit level 20 or so. Makes it easier to get shit done so you can get the true ending.

I'll second this.

the game is less a bitch once you get past 20.

Still one of my fave 360 games even with its frustrating shit.

Yeah, I was just reading about the game. Looks like that's the way to go.
I'll just mess around this go-around and do what I can.

Oh, and you can give your escorts weapons? That'll help.

Pros:

+Goofy, fun story. Dialogue is kinda funny too when it wants to be.
+Good graphics considering it's age. Animations a bit wonky but face models look good, as does the mall.
+Use almost anything.
+Arcade style gameplay, gets serious but overall light-hearted.

Cons:

-LOADING LOADING LOADING LOADING. Damn, it's always loading!
-Steep learning curve. Easy to die and Otis keeps calling, what to do what to do!
-Aiming in general is stiff and difficult to use.
-He's a bit slow, but I understand.

I don't mind the saving issue, there's usually a bathroom nearby.
Just a different kind of game than I had expected.

I'm really looking forward to Dead Rising too.
Hope for co-op!
Is there a date for it? Next year?
