From BudzMcGee: "Ibotta is sort of a rebate app for smart phones that allows you to get money back for certain items (typically grocery). They are offering $5 for purchasing $50 (or $10 for spending $100, or $20 for spending $200 - check the app to see your offer) at Best Buy (can be multiple purchases). Ibotta did this once with a $10 for $100 before so I am simply updating the old thread. Last time they did this some users got an offer for spend $100 get $10 so it may vary, and it seems that new users who haven't redeemed before are getting the $10 for $100 offer, a few have even gotten $20 for spending $200 - you won't know until you open the app. New users also get a $2 bonus (read below)."

This offer specifies that the receipt has to be under one week old in order to redeem it.

The Expendables 1 & 2 are on sale for $7.99. Each one comes with $8 Fandango cash to watch Expendables 3. Today's receipt qualified me for my $20 rebate.

I used my $300 BB gift card from the Xbox trade in glitch last week and bought a $200 visa gift card using the BB gift card and ibotta accepted that receipt with no problem

Hmmm safe to say I could do this with their Microsoft Online store redemption? I want to buy xbox currency but the fine print says no gift cards.... Was hoping they would take it.
 
By giftcards, I think ibotta means that buying gift cards with cash won't work for the rebates, BUT using gift cards to purchase items like a prepaid credit card is okay.
 
I have $20/200.

Would've done a $10/$100. Could just buy two new releases with GCU and I'd meet the $100.

Does it have to be $100 pre-tax or total?

 
Did the Best Buy rebate disappear for anyone else?  I was just going to submit a receipt and it's not there anymore.  I clicked on the "Back to School" thing at the top that has Best Buy's logo on it and it says it's out of stock.  The expiration on the rebate was 8/31 right?

 
Looks like maybe it got pulled early. Said for me that they are out of stock on rebates for Best Buy which is odd. Sucks cause I was 6 bucks away from spending $200

 
I had $95 towards the $200 and the receipt I was going to do today was for $220.  I just sent them a message asking if there was something wrong with my app so we'll see what they say.  It'll suck to miss out on $20, but oh well if I do.

 
It must have been a popular option ( if it indeed got pulled early). Hopefully if it comes back, it will be recognized as a new deal...& I can qualify for another $20
