Yea, it was almost like the "goodbye" to surprises in gaming. It seems like now everything gets leaked out and everyone wants to know everything before they even touch it and on top of that, pass insane judgement before even trying it.
I slightly agree but mostly still think surprises exist, but in a very different way nowadays. Back then there were plot WTFs, but nowadays I get surprises in "that was a nice touch" or when I play fighters and realize a new way to play. Plus there are gems to find in games nowadays, you just have to find the shitty games and find out what makes them sparkle.

on that note I'm leaving this here just because its necessary...

I've got that Human Sexualities down. Final should be a piece of cake tomorrow.

Also, I didn't engage in intercourse with a girl last night and effectively ended our relationship tonight all because she be smoking dat cannabis. I stand by that as a good decision and I await for Hank to back me up on it.

Amen to this. I actually said the same thing to my friend after reading the article.
I know exactly what you're trying to say about DmC.
Bahahaha, nah I now understand the hate for it. I still think it looks neat though.

Hey Uraizen, since you got King of Fighters XIII and I finally got UMVC3, does this mean we can finally play some games together? ^_^

Sure, hit me up whenever, just txt me or something when you want to play. It's the quickest way to get a hold of me and the most likely place I'll see it. Just keep in mind the time differences, please?

What's wrong with cannabis?

Do you have something against people who eat other people?
I'm eating a Milky Way for breakfast.
Are you serious son? A Milky Way bar is not part of a balanced breakfast.

Neither is four posts in a row.

If I had known you were having a conversation with yourself I would have gotten in sooner! I've been awake all night again, whoknows, my gooooood friend.

That's what she said.

No wait, that doesn't make any sense.
Triforce Fishing.
That wasn't that bad, either. :D
That's what she said.

Wait, what?
Thanks for the linkage frosty, will read after work.

MGS3 remains my favorite of the series by far.
MGS3 is my favorite game ever. So great.

Josh, you were right. Watching that porn was far weirder than I thought it would be. Especially when something happened and I would think, "Oh, right, Chac told me about this part."
still got off
Triforce Fishing.
I didn't mind the fishing -- it actually gave me something to do in that empty fucking ocean.
My response in tune with yours would be something like:
Sailing. Two [Five] (full and proper) dungeons.

I liked Wind Waker best as well. The only way OoT would be my favorite is if I let nostalgia factor in, which I'm not. It's a good game, but it didn't age as well as people seem to think IMO. It's the nostalgia clouding their minds.

I kind of agree. But I think you have to rate games based on how good they were at the time. I pretty much never replay games, so I don't care if they age well or not. I care about how much I enjoyed them at the time I played them.

OoT was just such a new and incredible experience when it came out. Few games I've played wowed me as much at the time as that game did.

Wind Waker was a good game, but it didn't have that WoW factor for me and the lame sailing got tedious and took away from the game some. Much like the fetch quests, padding and graphics take away from Skyward Sword some. So I still put OoT as my 2nd favorite Zelda game, behind A Link to the Past.

Edit: Here's how I'd probably rank the Zelda games I've played.

Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Skyward Sword
Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
Oracle of Ages/Seasons
Link's Awakening
Majora's Mask
The Minish Cap
The Phantom Hourglass
Zelda 2
The Spirit Tracks (at the bottom as I couldn't play it as my mic wouldn't work for the music parts)

You shoulda joined us last night! I have finals and whatnot to study for, but I may be on later tonight.

When were you guys on skype last night?

This talk of zelda reminds me

1. I need to finish TP
2. I need to play Majora's Mask.

Up until Skyward Sword, I liked Ocarina of Time the best. It had my favorite dungeons and music, and the general atmosphere was great. And seeing as I beat it for the first time on N64 a couple years ago, I think it aged very well.
I bought it just for Cave Story+, already had most of it. Still worth it.
Yeah, I was planning to buy Cave Story+ anyway, so this was a no brainer for me, even if I had no interest in Shank.

MGS2 was alright, but still one of my least favorite games in the series.
Personally, TP is probably right below OoT for me. Majora's Mask is in there somewhere, I think. Definitely above WW. It felt like a proper homage to OoT without straight up copying it. I liked Midna and the new wolf angle. What I didn't like was the bullshit where you could tell they started designing shit with the Wii motion controls in mind (see: Sky Temple Boss). Holding that game back to be a launch Wii title was both a smart and TERRIBLE fucking move at the same time. :\
Someone else who places TP above WW? I thought I was the only one who did. Although I wouldn't place it above Majora's Mask, Which is my favorite 3D Zelda to date. But I do agree with everything else you said about Twilight Princess.

Yeah, but it forced you to SAIL IN THAT EMPTY fuckING OCEAN.
Bought it, I actually didn't own very many of those games. Ended up doing $15 and giving a decent amount to Child's Play.
I did $10 and gave $5 to Child's Play. Would've done more, but I'm kinda poor.
Bought, but I wish they gave me individual keys. I already had most of those games and wouldn't have minded giving away ones I already owned.
Agreed. Would be awesome if they could do that.
Agreed. Would be awesome if they could do that.
The Indie Royale bundles let you do it.

Indeed they do. And it's glorious for gifting the extra keys to people, I've given away so many games...
Including copies of games I didn't own because Humble Stupid bundle added the extra games to the "bonus" key I gave away. fuckers.
Mine was $5 to Child's Play, $5 to Humble Bundle.

fuck the developers.
When you give to a charity... doesn't the money just come back to you?
When you give to a charity... doesn't the money come back to you?
Well, it was to Child's Play, so it should be going to you.

Merry Christmas.

If you donate a lot and have enough deductions overall to do an itemized tax return you can right off donations to lower your total taxable income.

But it doesn't get you back 100% of the money you donated. Just lowers your tax burden somewhat--but not a 1:1 trade off.
I bought it just for Cave Story+, already had most of it. Still worth it.
Why get it for Cave Story if the 3DS version is available for only $39.99?

This may be over my head but I think the joke was that Hank is poor.

Let me know if any skype is going on at a reasonable time tonight.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend comes out on 2/14/2012... so far away. =(

Who here is gonna buy it with me?!

Nobody.

Before nobody asks, it came out 7/27/2010 and the update for CS2 was free. This one includes all the previous DLC, new modes, new balance, new character, and the original BBCT's story line if you care about the story. It's also going to be $40 instead of $60.
