Ghost Trick $17.96 at Amazon

Bulrog

CAGiversary!
Nice find, Bulrog. So tempted but I've been trying to play through the backlog in anticipation of the Fall releases.

I'm wondering if this got a reprint and will be $19.99 now. There are a few amazon sellers that show backordered at 17.96.
do you think it'll get any lower?
I do. I say $10 Black Friday/Monday on Amazon.

Rented this through Gamefly. If you like Ace Attorney games I highly recommend playing it somehow. Story is superb, last few twists are absolutely mind blowing, and the gameplay is solid and fun. Like AA games though, it's hard to enjoy a replay any time soon because you know the story, which is by far the best quality of the game, and how to solve the puzzles.
My puzzle game of year. I would take this over Portal 2
Sooo sooo sooo true. Like the AA games, I also find it to be much better than LA Noire too, which was very much a disappointment to me, in comparison. They are obviously rather different games, but the Capcom DS games have much more colorful and interesting stories and characters. Where as LAN was more serious, brutal, and was motivated much more by a plot of strong actions and the job set before you, rather than a motive of strong characters.

This is a great game I even wrote a review for (I don't write many!) I have never played any Ace Attorney game so coming from someone new to this type of game and style I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

This game has steadfastly refused to budge from $30 for MONTHS. Only just recently did it tank down to $20-ish and it has been fluctuating now on Amazon. A bunch of Fulfilled by Amazon sellers are competing over it. It has equalized at $17 but I bit at $19 yesterday. More fool me.

It's utterly fantastic. I don't care what the 999 nerds say, this is the DS's best adventure and definitely a classic. Highly recommend.

The game is in my gold box for $20.

It's still listed at $17.77, though.

(*¿*)

Edit:

Oh, it's listed as the lesser price thanks to 3rd party prime vendors.

I see it now.
Damn. I bought it from Amazon for $22.89 just 10 days ago.
Yeah that's the price I paid as well.

god damnit. Count me in the 'just bought this' club. I bought a copy a few days ago for about 22 bucks, then the other day for 18.28 .. now its 17.45. I should have waited a bit

Hopefully okamiden drops like this soon so i can get a copy of that too.

This is down to $16.75 new. BUT hold tight, guys. There are at least 6 sellers engaged in a rapid race to the bottom on this game. I think we'll see $15 or less soon enough.

Oh 16.55 now, this is fun watching the sellers slowly drop the price by a few cents. It's like gambling, do I jump in now or wait to pounce and strike a mega good deal?

if it hits 15 bucks i'll buy a 3rd copy... maybe, lol
I just bought mine last night for $17.77.

I can't believe this. This is the biggest mistake of my life.
Haha, you're either very young or very cautious.

It's a pretty flawed game but has some amazing aspects to it. It has a sort of rotoscoping animation to it that's insanely fluid and a great mechanic (possessing stuff) that had merit to it. The main problem was that you could tell it was always a kind of trial and error mousetrap system without any logic or freedom to it.

Still fantastic at this price though.

Damn, bought it when it was $17.96. At that point, the price from Amazon.com (non-third party seller) jumped back up a bit so I thought the third party sellers would also jump back up. Guess I was wrong, and it already arrived at my door today.

I must have cancelled my order at least 5 times in order to save ~20 cents each time for this and some other games.

That's why I love slow FSSS. Prime would cramp my style.

Hmm, I picked this up at 16.90 this afternoon and my order was "Shipping Soon" with an estimate of being shipped in two days, so I tried to cancel. Instead I got this email.

We're contacting you about your cancellation request for order XXX.

We weren't able to cancel the following item(s) from your order:

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

When you receive your order, you're welcome to refuse the package. You can also return any unwanted item(s) by visiting www.amazon.com/returns.

In most cases, you pay for items when we ship them to you, so you won't be charged for items that you cancel. In some cases (e.g., you use a gift card or your debit card is processed as a PIN-less transaction), you may see a charge for a cancelled item. If you are charged for a cancelled item, we will refund you within 1-2 business days.
So uh, I don't get it. They're still gonna send it but not gonna charge me? (I paid with a credit card that hasn't been charged yet).

No, you will get charged. They just mean if you really don't want it, refuse the package so there is no return shipping cost.

I actually liked it better than PW in the end (and I really like all of the PW games), but GT does not have as much dragging out of the story to give you extra "twists" at the end. Plus there's the puzzle aspect to it which is very satisfying.

Game is down to $14.92. I think this might end up like Prinny 2 where it kept dropping and dropping to Under $10 bucks. That would be a killer deal.
