God of War Collection at GoHastings for $19.99 plus $2.99 shipping! It's selling for $27.55 used on there and the cheapest I've seen anywhere else for a new copy is $29.96 at Amazon.

*Update* Site currently says OOS, but has been in and out of stock all day so I'll keep an eye out to see if it comes back in stock.

Just got mine! Been waiting for this magic price point on this game! YAY! (now...to finish Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins) so I can try and play this before FFXIII comes out!!! EEKS!

i got an order in, at 1:26pm EST, and the order went thru.. hope it doesn't get cancelled.. for those that said out of stock was it before you had it in your carts?
 
yeah it was out of stock, came back in a few mins ago... but tax and shippin kinda kills it for me.. was trying to order 2 to offset shipping but that went up as well... sigghhhhhh
 
Thanks OP, never got GoW 2 so this is a steal for me. Perfect timing too since I was about to go and pick it up at Best Buy.

There's a big "Sale" tag on it at my local Hastings - for $29.99. So looks like it may have been an online price mistake.

Well the standard price is 29.99 and on the games page at gohastings it's listed in the $10 off advertisement, so $19.99 sounds like the correct price. Out of stock now though.
 
Good deal on a great game... except for
those goddamn spindles you have to climb to get out of Hades with the blades sticking out. Maybe it was because of all the alcohol in my system last night but I was about ready to throw the PS3 out the window. So annoying.

Yes, I feel your pain. There's a trophy to climb it without taking damage. That made me so mad but I finally got it after A LOT of tries :D

yeah.. I beat the game back in 2005 or whenever it was out for PS2 but somehow I blocked that part out of my head completely. Actually, all of Hades was a complete chore and the game would have been better off without that level.

I think I might be the only person on earth who loved that section. It felt so much like an NES game with the difficulty waaaay out of whack solely due to cheapness that it made me smile. Whoever came up with that on their design team should be given his/her own studio.

I suck in games in general, but that part is not too bad... For some reasons, the patterns sort of click, it took me just a few tries to get the untouchable trophy. On my 2nd playthrough (beat the game in less than five hours), it took me few tries too. The stupid thing about the final column is that you have to move up fast and then stop, wait for an opening or move left/right for an opening. Sounds easy, but yeah, you need fast reflexes :lol:

I absolutely love this series, I'm surprised that GoW II looks like a PS3 game! GoW is good, but you can see it's an aged product. GoW II is stunning. I hope the trophies for GoW III is on par with the Collection (please no Titan mode or God mode completions).

For $20, it's a bargain. I got it from Amazon for $35 back in November 2009, and I still think it's a great buy! Two platinum trophies for one price, you can't beat that :)

I liked it too, I didn't find it hard at all either. You get that trophy as long as you do not get any damage from climbing either one. The first or second one, and well you can't take damage in the first place if you climb it so...

The second one did give me more trouble, I fell like five times but it's because I was hopping like a maniac and wasn't taking my time.

Truly loved that moment though, I agree with handsomepete. It felt like a nostalgic oldschool moment.

I was really disappointed to see that these two weren't on either God of War game.

The only trophies I hated/hate (for ANY game) are those "collect ???? items" trophies.. I always SKIP those cursed trophies unless I actually casually find them... okay, i lied.. I actually did find all 101 treasures for Uncharted 2 and the 50 or whatever treasures for the first one, but its cause I really loved that game :p
 
I hated the pillars too. Funny thing was, when I finally succeeded, I also got the untouchable trophy, which I wasn't even going for. So two birds with one stone!

Or you can reserve GOW3 it a bestbuy, and they take 10 bucks off GOW collection making it 19.99. And then cancel the reserve.....
