GOG Deals Thread

Neuro - you are the man, and CAG will never be the same!!

Sam and Max - Not really any reason to play them in order.  Not sure how many are left... I think they have all 3 seasons...  Not sure though.

Which Sam and Max games are left on this sale? Do you have to play them in order?
Sam & Max Save The World and Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space should still be left

You don't really have to play them in order from what I remember (of seasons 1 and 2), might be a few jokes that don't make as much sense due to not knowing the characters/background. IIRC most were one-liners though and not part of the story or anything.(again never got to the third season, so it might change).

I really liked The Guild (played the original at first and later the gold edition). Not bad simulation game where you can run a business, get into politics, find love and such....better than the second (too much micromanaging in this one for me). It was buggy when I played, I even remember sometimes not being able to purchase upgrades cause they bugged out and I couldn't get them. Still a very fun game to play, and I'm even a bit tempted but I know I gave my time to it before, and don't really feel like a life simulation game anytime soon.

Looks like everyone on the list got one, so I have a spare  Willing to give it away if you still want it Souffrir (I was going to buy LSL but slept through it, so my creative accounting figures Heretics cost a net of zero dollars.)

Souffir - Yep, early this morning. :whistle2:( Sorry bud.
No problem, it's my own fault for taking the chance and not reserving a slot. Thanks anyway.

Neuro's hooking me up, too, so thanks Neuro!

EDIT:
@Lizard: Thanks for the offer, but as you can see, I've been taken care of.

Are you talking about Heretic Kingdoms Red? I would be willing to buy it from you with either Paypal or Amazon gift card if you still want to get rid of it.

Edit: If anyone ended up with an extra King's Quest I would be very interested.

Yep, and I'm fine with just giving it away if you want it, don't need payment/gift card.

Semi-related also have a copy of Arcanum (though that would like something back, doesn't have to be paypal/amazon. I take sellable Steam trading cards/items (though I'd assume most people on CAG actually sell those unlike some communities I've been =p))

Wow! That is very nice of you! Sending you a PM now.

I might take you up on that. How much are we talking about for an Amazon giftcard?

Whatever man, you should try a DRM-Threesome one of these days. Some of the best gaming of my life.
Hmmm - must be GTA4 + EFLC Steam-version.

That would be Steam (no CEG on that, though - you can get around that), Rockstar Social Club, G4WL, and Securom. ;)

In order, the TellTale-developed Sam and Max games were released like this...

Season 1 - Sam And Max: Save The World

Season 2 - Sam And Max: Beyond Time And Space

Season 3 - Sam And Max: The Devil's Playhouse

Also speaking early of cards, realized should have been idling for cards during the last 3+ days of this round, at least did some playfire rewards (assuming they ever sync).

So, did I miss anything awesome here on in GOG Thread and for GOG sales here?
Not so much, in terms of "deals" (at least for ones you had your eye on), but CAG-wise?

Well, for starters, @The Sifu made aware to me the first explicitly erotic game—the genre of which I wasn't even aware existed, mind you—called "Bonetown", which, to be frank, doesn't even seem like a game to me... more like an interactive pornography film.

Also, we almost had an all-out reaction GIF war, but other than those minor bits; no you missed absolutely nothing. :p

I just got back after being away from a computer for the past 3 hours. I didn't see it posted here, but I noticed that the last few deals weren't posted. So maybe you guys fell asleep at the switch. Has Betrayal At Krondor had it's final appearance yet?

talkinrock, never look up Custer's Revenge.
Eh, I don't consider CR to be "explicit" in the sense that act of the pioneer forcing himself upon the Native woman is graphically pixelat— Yeah, I don't even feel comfortable making light of rape, even in YCS.

Although, due to Mystique's, erm, "unique" idea for a "game" (for lack of a better phrase), Custer's Revenge has become somewhat of a desired collectable in this day and age (albeit a niche and FBI-watchlist-inducing one). Given that I've been in the industry since '82, I have amassed quite a collection of physical games, many from developer trades shows, and others that I have picked up along the way. Among those are two copies of Custer's Revenge. The first is your "average condition" 2600 cartridge with a faded label...

The other one though, is sitting above my desk, on a shelf protected by a sheet of museum glass: The CR cartridge is in the original box... with the sticker seal still in tact.

According to a post over on the GOG forums by a poster named MissFable, there are only 8 games left after LLtQ.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Betrayal at Krondor Pack
Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes
FTL: Advanced Edition
Pid
Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space
Sam & Max Save the World
Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers

Not necessarily in that order, of course.

When Betrayal at Krondor comes up—unless I post before half or so of the keys are gone that I picked it up—can somebody pick me up a copy, please?

Thanks!

Three Days Of The Krondor.
This is one of my favourite films of all time (well, "of the Condor", but you know what I meant)! The pairing of Redford and Max von Sydow couldn't have been any more perfect, in my humble opinion.

Is it good? What's it like?
From what I've read it is mostly text, you have to have your princess survive a few years (I think?) to make it to being Queen. You do it through training different skills via classes, and keeping your mood at a certain level(s). It sounded like a roguelike game (assuming I'm using the term correctly?)

Oh and I picked up a copy for Simpsonps121, if they still want it later.
