is it worth it?

I loved the prequels, but I heard that this game falls way short of those. Don't want to disappoint myself.
 
Better then the prequels, but falls short of a modern jrpg. I'd rate it a 8.5 on IGN's scale (and if you are an IGN follower, you'd know how meaningless that is)
 
Just a heads up for people on the fence, this game is exactly like the GBA originals.

If you loved the repetitive dialog, aimless plot, shallow characters, and mediocre puzzle solving from the first 2 games, you will love Dark Dawn.

If you are blinded by nostalgia and the first 2 Golden Sun games were some of your first RPG experiences as a kid because you were too young when the NES/SNES came out, you might not enjoy this one and think it's somehow worse than the original 2 when it is, as stated, exactly the same.

Great price, but I know there are a lot of mixed reviews for the game for the above reasons. Hope this helps.
