Good LCD TV 17" to 20" for $500 or less

I'm looking for a good LCD TV for gaming in the 17" to 20" range...for around the max of $500. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any brands in paticular I should stay away from? This doesn't need to be HD ready or anything fancy.

Also does anyone know of any good TV review websites? Thanks in advance.
