Okay well as promised I'm back from a two week "vacation" of Christmas shopping, car shopping and lots and lots of other busy-work =) That being said, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you ^_^ As a special thank you, I'm returning with my weekly gift-giving and a bunch of new prizes as well. Many of the old ones have been accounted for, but you'll see some familiar ones returning. I've decided that after two weeks if a prize is not selected I will be listing it in my eBay store, that way I can keep the list fresh and perhaps move some merchandise that is otherwise just sitting around.

Now the reason you're here. The prize List!

01) Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)
02) Viewtiful Joe (Gamecube - GH version)
03) Spiderman 2 (Gamecube - Complete)
04) Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)
05) 3-in-One Headphones for the DS Lite (includes built in Stereo FM Radio)
06) Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (Nintendo DS)
07) SSX Tricky (Nintendo Gamecube)
08) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Nintendo Gamecube - Some scratches, plays fine)
09) Soul Calibur III (Playstation 2 - Disc only)
10) $10 Gift Certificate (Goombucks) to my eBay auctions (No expiration)
11) James Bond: Agent Under Fire (Gamecube - Complete)
12) Madden 2002 (Gamecube - Complete)
13) Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (Gamecube - Complete)
14) Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (Gamecube - Complete)
15) Gunpey DS (Nintendo DS - Complete)

The Questions:

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response)

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust?

Contest ends on Sunday Night (12/30/2007) at 10:30 PM (I've changed it from midnight to give me more time to do the videos and such).

---------------

BONUS: As a bonus, and for not having a contest next week I will be picking TWO winners. First winner has first choice and this contest is open to Goozex and CAG winners, but there will be only one pig drawing this time with two winners' names selected. Good luck!

If you haven't joined Goozex yet, I highly recommend you check it out :) You'll get a free game and a free trade credit, and I'll pick up 5 free trade credits if you go through my referall link (simply click my Goozex banner in my signature). As always, good luck and thanks for playing!

I'd select the $10 gift certificate.

I have:
2 Aquarius with one mini expander all with box
1 Woody Atari 2600 with a beat up box
1 Original Gameboy
2 Original SNESs one with a decent looking box
1 Original Genesis with Original Sega CD the power connector on the back of the genesis is shot
1 Original (not that they remodeled it...) N64
1 Original PS1
1 Late Model Gamecube (replaced my original (with progressive scan output) Gamecube that died when I left it on overnight for a month)
1 Phat DS
and one of each of the new systems.

I had an original NES (I think I actually had 2) but they got trashed (this was before the internet so I didn't know it was fixable) due to contact problems.
I also had a master system in box with a bunch of games but I think my dad trashed them when we had our falling out...... about the master system, not falling out with my dad.

I'd only call the aquarius and 2600 a classic system, though others may disagree.

And I only play my PSWii60 and DS. Even though the 2600 has the best game ever on it... Video Pinball.

Hey Goomba! Hope you're having a good Christmas :)

1) I would choose the $10 Goombucks certificate

2) I still have a Super NES, a Game Boy Color and an N64... I still occasionally play them when I'm feeling nostalgic. ;)

I choose Untold Legends for the PSP.

Most of my old systems is collecting dust. Once a while I'll hook up the old systems and play a few games. Recently I just replayed Chrono Trigger again on the Snes. Amazing game.

1)Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (Nintendo DS)

2) Yes I do:
Dreamcast: Still playing it (Jet Grind Radio still gives me chills)
PS1: Havent played it in a while, why should I when I have a PS2?
Super Nintendo: Havent played it in years
N64: I usually play it occasionally, havent played it recently
Game Boy Advance: Never play it

Slayzz, You're right about Chrono Trigger...I really owe it to myself to finish that game and SOON. I'm considering to buy a PS3 just so I can have a portable PSone system (to which Chrono Trigger/FF1-9 and TONS of other RPG's would be playable from work...very tempting).

freakyzeeky,

Thanks :) Yes I had a really awesome Christmas actually ^_^ We ended up buying a Toyota Highlander (even though I'm generally very anti-SUV, we needed something with 4WD to get through the snow/ice in this area). I also got to see the majority of my family too which was nice =) Thanks for asking!

dim2192, I just bought a black Dreamcast last week (always wanted one) and picked up Jet Grind Radio too. I played it when it first came out and was amazed by the cel-shaded graphics back then (it was truly one of the first ever to do that style) and I'm still loving it now. Glad I'm not alone!

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response)
Prize number 10 if I were to win.

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust?
Nes gaining dust somewhere, everything else was passed on to others.
1) Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)

2) I own a PS1..it collects more and more dust every day as I never play it..the only game I have for it is Madden 2002.(probably the reason why I don't play it)

1. Viewtiful Joe (Gamecube - GH version)
2. N64 - My most used classic system, used mainly for banjo kazooie and tooie.
Dreamcast - Don't really use at all, I really need to purchase some games (all I got from the seller was sports games)
PS1 - Haven't used since I got the PS2

T4Revan, I've heard a LOT of great things about the Banjo games but no longer have an N64. Glad to hear that they're that good that you still play them :) I'll definitely pick them up if they ever come to the Virtual Console (with Rare being owned by Microsoft I'm not sure that'll ever happen, but who knows, crazier things have happened).

1. Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
2. I own a NES that I bought from a guy trying to trade it in at Gamestop last summer. They of course wouldn't take it to I offered some money for it. It didn't work and I ordered a new 72 pin connector but haven't put it back together properly. So its collecting dust.

LimpBizkit,

I've often been tempted to buy things at Gamestop when people are trading them in. You know you see someone trading in a game you'd gladly pay $20 for and the Gamestop guy says "We'll give you $5 for it"... I don't know the legality of offering the person a higher amount (in cash) but I'm sure it'd be a quick way to get banned from that store and just about any other store. Still, it'd be nice.

The Questions:

1) If I won, I would choose "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Nintendo Gamecube)"

2) I own a NES, SNES, N64, TG-16, CD-i, Dreamcast, Playstation, and Neo Geo AES. I play my SNES and N64 the most because there are so many awesome, nostalgic games on them. I play the PSX a lot because it kicks ass. It can play just about anything, regardless of how scratched it is. I cannot find any of the games and accessories I need for my Dreamcast, so I've never played it.

1- soul calibur 3

2- i use to own a nes, genesis, sega cd and saturn but got into finicalk debt so i sold them on ebay. if i still had them i would have still played them sure you can;t beat classic games

I'd like soul calibur 3 please!

As for classic systems, I proudly own a ps1, an n64, and a gameboy pocket. The ps1 gets my play for crash bandicoot still!

EDIT: I just remembered that I have a really old atar that I bought off some guy for 5 bucks!

whitedeath, Amen to that. You really CANNOT beat classic games. I hold onto my old systems for dear life as well though I probably would sell them if I was in a financial mess (which currently I am, but not yet to that point!). They'd have to pull my Dreamcast away from my arms before I'd ever give that wonderful gaming machine up.

I'd select the $10 gift certificate.
The REALLY old atari (you know the one with that bomb game and you have to catch them) don't play it though

I've noticed that a lot of people don't play their classic systems. I have to say that I'm the same for the record. I own still an original Gameboy, a classic GBA, several GBA SP's, two SNES's, a Sega Genesis, a Sega Saturn, 3 PSone systems (including one Japanese one), Two Dreamcasts, 5 Gamecubes, and all the newer systems except the PS3. What do I play? 90% of the time I play my DS/PSP on the road 5% of the time I play my Wii when I'm not busy at work, 3% I play my PS2 with games like Odin Sphere and the remaining 2% I play my Xbox 360 (since I seldom have much time to sit on the couch to play games these days).

We really do hold onto our systems for very little reason other than nostalgia, but it's nice knowing I can just fire up my SNES and play some Killer Instict any time I want. Legally too :)

1. Spiderman2 for the GC

2. N64-I used to play it all the time, but stopped after the controls became mush and I couldn't find decent replacements. Favs were Smash Bros., Zelda, Bomberman, and Mario Kart
Sega Genesis- Unfortunately the console was stolen along with other stuff from my home, but my games are in tact.
NES- Every year, I take it out and replay SMB3 and Megaman 2 and 3. It has shown it's age but still fun to play.

Cool contest.

Merry Christmas, Goomba.

I'd select the Knuckles Plushie
The oldest system I own is a Super Nintendo, and it definately just collects dust.

1) Knuckles Plushie (because we all know Knuckles is badass)

2) Yes, a Sega Game Gear; Sega's response to Nintendo's Gameboy. Do I pull out the old Game Gear these days? No. I'd most likely just use an emulator if I had an urge to play any Game Gear games. Still the massive Game Gear will remain in my collection, so I can school my future children in past console/handheld history.

1) Knuckles Plushie

2)
SNES. I rarely play it, usually when i'm craving some old classics.
Nintendo 64. I don't touch it at all, last time I did was probably two years ago.

I would take the Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)

I own a NES and SNES with a ton of games still but they have been collecting dust this year as I have moved twice and haven't been able to unbox them
We really do hold onto our systems for very little reason other than nostalgia...
That's not the reason I still have everything I do. I just haven't gotten around to selling/trading it yet. I'm lazy and selling/trading used stuff is a lot of work.

1) Knuckles plushie, hands down!

2) I do not own any at the moment, hoping to pick up a sega genesis/sega cd or SNES this year.

07) SSX Tricky (Nintendo Gamecube)

I have an original Gameboy and A Playstation (i think it was the 2nd edition, before it got all small).

soul calibur 3 for ps2

lets see, i went through a collecting phase, so here goes.
2 or 3 regular nintendos and roughly 6 pin connectors
original pong game
collecovision
atari 2600
a sega master system
a super nintendo
a sega genesis (series 2) with sega cd and 32x
series 1 sega genesis
3DO
sega dreamcast
atari jaguar
original playstation 1 and 2 and gamecube
game boy, game boy color, game boy advance
virtual boy

do i play any of them? no, not really, though i did play theme park in the 3DO a couple weeks ago just because I felt like playing it and didnt have the game on any other system, though there are sega cd games that id love to try if i could find them.

Mr. Goomba, I would like that Viewtiful Joe. I remember playing it years ago and got such a rush. The first time I used his powers, AWESOME!!! and not to mention funny, 'cause it was soo cheesy.

I had an SNES, but it wasn't that classic since it was that redesign Nintendo was selling for $50. Sadly with most of my childhood it was thrown away. The most tragic thing was, I didn't have many games for it. I had Street Fighter II and Super Mario World, and a few other games that were sadly crappy. The ones I did have were freakin' old by the time I got it, worn out by years of wear and tear. :(

Anyway, I thought you'd end this year with a high note like giving out copies to your guide to life.

1. Knuckles Plushie

2. Atari 2600 , NES , Neo Geo MVS, SNES, Genesis, Action Max (it was a light gun system that you plugged into a VCR and the games were VHS tapes).

1) Spider-Man 2 GC
2) Yes, I have the ultimate classic system: a Panasonic 3DO. If people complain about the price of systems now, they should have bought one of these when they were first released. I take it out of storage every now and then to play Twisted or Star Control 2. I love the headphone jack on the controller. Great for when you dont want to wake everyone in the house up.

I would choose:

08) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Nintendo Gamecube - Some scratches, plays fine)

I own a ton of old systems. My atari 2600, 5200, Intellivision, and Colecovision are all collecting dust. I have my sega genny, saturn, dreamcast, nes, snes, n64, gamecube and ps2 are all hooked up in the basement. I play the nintendo ones often but I don't have many games for my saturn and dreamcast. Upstairs I have my 360 and wii. I play my 360 the most. Oh, I have my virtual boy hooked up in the basement as well. It gets played some.

$10 Gift Certificate

I have a SNES and N64, only about 5 games for each system. I would play them if I actually get more games for them.

I would choose the Knuckles plushie (Love that little guy!)
My oldest system is my Sega Genesis. Too bad it broke though, now I can only play Sonic 2 through XBLA...

1) Soul Caliber 3 please
2) I own Genesis 32x and 3 sega cds because they break a lot so I get them when I see them cheap, I have a SNES at a friends house that has been there for 3 years. I still play my Genesis and Sega CD though. I play a game called Third World War on CD still, its been over 10 years and I still can't beat it.

I'd choose the Knuckles Plushie.

I only own a SNES and 1 game for it. I play it every once in awhile but if I had more games i'd play it a lot more.

Untold Legends (Sony PSP - Complete)

is the game id want, i have only 2 psp games. and for classic consoles i have the SNES, Sega saturn, dreamcast and PS1, i only still play the dreamcast and ps1 though

mguiddy, okay you're right...nostalgia and laziness :) I have to admit that part of my collection is due to laziness as well but that's why I'm trying to clean out my excess collection by giving it to you fine folks and ebaying the rest ^_^ About time I get my gaming collection organized! Thanks for everything guys :)

detectiveconan, That's awesome that you found that book "A Goomba's Guide to Life". Actually, after he wrote that book he came to do a book signing at the casino I work for... I was tempted to get a copy and get it autographed but it turned out I had to work that day and employees weren't allowed to go to the book signing anyhow. Still a great name for the book hehe. I'll probably pick up a copy sometime :) There's also a Goomba's Pizza somewhere in my home state which I have to hunt down sometime. hehe.

1) I would Select #4, the Knuckles Plushie. Come on, Who is Cooler than Knuckles? (sonic is pretty pimp though.)

2) Unfortunatly not any longer, But out of the classics i had a Sega Genesis. Man i loved the 16 bit days. Still do thanks to Roms.

1. Spider-Man 2 for the GC

2. My classis systems are

TurboGrafX 16
2 NES
2 SNES
3 Genesis
N64
Saturn
PS1

I play them every now and again but for the most part I play my newer systems.

1. Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (DS)

2. I have a few older systems; unfortunately they're all collecting dust at the moment. A few of them get hooked up occasionally, but even for those, it's been a while.

Dreamcast- sometimes I'll hook it up for the first Soul Calibur. Otherwise, at this point it's a paperweight.

Sega Genesis- my wife and I sometimes take it out of mothballs to play Toejam & Earl together, but it's been 2-3 years since we last did that.

Nintendo 64- My son wants this for his room. I told him OK, as soon as his room is clean. So far, it's still sitting in my closet.

Gameboy Advance (x2) Both my kids have these but never use them anymore since we gave them each a DS Christmas '06.

PS2- Is this considered an "older" system yet? I guess not, but in any event, I haven't turned it on since I got my 360 a few months ago.

1) 04) Knuckles Plushie (Similar to the Sonic one)

2) I've got a NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, Game Boy, and two Atari Flashback systems (in addition to current- and last-gen consoles)

1) Which prize would you select (if you're chosen as the winner you will get the prize that you chose in your response) - Knuckles Plushie

2) Do you own any classic video game systems? If so, do you still play them or are they just collecting dust? - NES and SNES collecting dust. Have about 18 or so games fo the SNES that actually works, the NES doesn't work.

1) I'd choose Gunpey for the DS. I've been interested in that game for a while..but I never got around to getting it!

2) I have a few systems..SNES, Genesis, N64, Saturn, and Dreamcast. Sadly, in my new apartment I really only have room for my 360 & Wii. Eventually, I'd like to at LEAST get the Dreamcast back up and running again for any MvC2 fixes.. or Chu Chu Rocket! ;)

Thanks for doing this!
