Gantz was good for the first half,and then became filler after the third mission,which dragged the show down.The show did do a decent job by at trying to give the side characters in the first two missions actual character,compared to the manga where they were basically red shirts.

The Gantz anime was pretty good, but I think it would have done better if they waited to start it so there wasn't any filler. The manga is excellent in my opinion though I haven't read it in a couple months.
