Probably when you pick up the game / pay the difference. I remember my friend pre-ordered infamous and only got the blades dlc when he picked up the game on release day.

yeah, i don't what's up with kmart right now. they were gonna have the $25 game credit but gt5 got pushed back so shc-gamer removed it from his thread. it is possible that he'll reinstate the coupon w/ the new release date or maybe he'll add gt5 to his black friday list. i asked him in the kmart thread tonight, but i don't think he replied yet.

Josh takes the weekends off, as he rightfully should, but I'm positive it was taken out because of the release date disappearing after the announcement of the delay. Now that it has a (seemingly) legitimate release date, the deal should return.
 
Kmart mentioned that they would offer the same deal when release hits... again..
But keep in mind that it is not 25$ off of Gran Turismo its 25$ off next gaming purchase and printed at register.
 
i want all the preorder bonus cars. do i have to buy one from each retailer and sell off the extra copies at a loss? or should i just look for the codes on ebay?

i need to get a collector's edition.

Is there a thread dedicated to wheels for this game? I'm trying to find a decent wheel that's supported but also on the cheaper side as I don't have a lot of money so any suggestions are much appreciated.

Yeah, any purchase $75 or more. By bad. $89.99 though. Was going to do Amazon, $10 more, no game credit, and no preorder codes, but have $70 in game credit. Rather save $10 on buy.

You won't get any download codes though. Gamestop doesn't have any more preorders for the collectors. Could always keep the codes and return the game.
 
I have had a preorder at my local gamestop for months. If they get codes I am sure I can get it anyway since I'm friends with the store manager. Was thinking of picking it up anyway and returning the buy.com one in it's place so I can play it day 1 and still pay no shipping. Seems like a cheap maneuver but why not?
 
yeah, i pre-ordered through amazon in september. of 2009! i don't recall how many times i've gotten emails changing my ship date, at least 2 in the last month. now supposedly releasing nov 24 (doubt it), delivery date with 2 day shipping....nov 30. I almost don't care anymore about this game. i expect nothing less than to shit my pants, all else will be a severe disappointment. assuming i don't cancel this crap
 
If you waited this long for the game you can surely wait a little longer. I never understood why people get so worked up over delays. I'm fine with them. They usually lead to a better quality product and when it comes to spending my money I want the best I can get, am I right?

because the hype train for me left a year ago when i thought my pre-order was only 2-3 months out. i only pre-ordered because i had a prime trial and an ECA code. I actually forgot about it a couple times until amazon sent me release date change emails. And in that time my credit card on file expired as well lol. I'm just no longer excited for this game anymore. it's been hyped and hyped for year after year, i just stopped caring a while ago

i've waited this long...so i figure i might as well wait a couple more months and grab it used for half price.
 
I don't think the game is hyped except for when news is released about it... and that's only because it's so popular. The same thing happens with all of Blizzard's games (SC2 took a decade). The difference with blizzard is we expect them to take forever haha.

As a car fanatic, I will always be excited about this game regardless of when it releases. I had no problem waiting for it... which is why I never pre-ordered it.

By now don't we expect Polyphony to take forever too? They have always delayed the heck out of their GT releases. Anyone else remember GT being a launch title for PSP in 2005 and yet it was released in 2009?

The difference between Polyphony and Blizzard is that the latter doesn't give release dates until it's ready for the most part (Burning Crusade having been delayed right before release).
 
Hmmm, I have it preordered at Newegg for $46.99, free 3 day ship and no tax where I'm at, but I'm thinking of canceling it and just waiting until Christmas. Decisions!

I would totally get it at Kmart but I doubt they'll get the collector's edition since they barely get any new games I want....

They do, GT4 was also delayed at least once if I remember correctly, there was an online mode and that was later scrapped.

Though with GTPSP, it certainly is the weaker of the titles, there's no career mode which is the focal point of the GT Series. It's still a decent enough game if you can get it for cheap.
 
Does anyone know if GT5 would be a qualifying purchase for Sony Rewards points. I believe they allow only 1st party games to qualify...like God of War III, and I think GT5 falls into that category. Anyone know for sure?

You should keep the preorder box. I believe the bonus car code is inside the box.
