Guacamelee! draws inspiration for its unique story and characters from traditional Mexican culture and folklore. Guacamelee! builds upon the classic open-world Metroid-vania style of games by adding a strong melee combat component, a new dimension-switching mechanic, and co-operative same-screen multiplayer for the entire story. Many of the player’s moves are needed for both combat and platforming, blurring the boundaries between the two styles of gameplay.

The game will be released on April 9th in the Americas, and will support Cross-Buy for $14.99. This means you buy the game once and get both the PS3 and PS Vita versions.

just platted this. we need more "metroidvania" kind of games. kinda short but fun nonetheless.

I agree that more games like Guac would be awesome (*quality* metroidvania). I have to disagree on the length though, I think it is fine for the type of game it is.

Also, it is a steal @ $15. I would have felt satisfied paying retail price for this experience.

i platinumed it in less than 10 hours, 1st play through was under 6 hours. thats pretty short imo. i get that its a psn game and there are retail games that are the same length, but i would have liked the adventure to last longer. least 10 hours for the 1st play through.

I get that, but if the quality is there, I don't care if it's only an hour. I can beat Super Metroid in 3 hours, but it doesn't take away from how amazing it is.

I am not saying this to change your opinion..everyone is different in how they perceive value.
