Halo 3 Game Hosting Question

Can I host a local 4-player game on Halo 3 and invite online players into it? I guess we are playing Halo 3 at my house this weekend and we wanted to see if that was possible.

So...is it? Or do all 4 players need Live accounts, or what?

Yes but you will only be able to play social matches, not ranked ones.

Nope.

On one 360 playing Halo 3

Controller 1 - typeRJ
Controller 2, 3, 4 - Signed in as guests typeRJ(1), typeRJ(2), typeRJ(3)

As Corvin mentioned, you can join social or custom matches.

I think typeRJ is a bit mistaken. They DO need to be signed in as guests under your Xbox Live GOLD account. Then you can send invites to whatever online friends you want.
