Well I moved into a new house and been super busy with a lot of my own sites. I speak to CheapyD everynow and then but I know we both been really too busy to chat.

I just wanted to stop in and say how I missed some of you. Any new drama here? How are things?

Give me the lowdown guys and gals. What's CAG been doing for the past couple months?

As for CAG... I haven't really seen anything out of the ordinary around here. Maybe someone else has.
 
Ill tell you how it is defender, with you gone, more shitty CAGs are talking like they own the place, its a bit annoying.

Good to hear about the new house, and I hope the new sites have been doing well enough for you.
 
Yeah I got lots of sites that are fairly active and I am gonna start to sell off my inventory I think in about a month or two. So hopefully I will be active in the trader forums.

I moved to vegas and started doing internet work right away and have done very well so far. Then we bought a house and we just moved in. Seems like CAG is the same but somehow different since I don't know so many of you. I go into the moderator forums on occassion just to see the drama but other than that I just been trying to work work work to pay for this new house. It's crazy expensive. My wife wants a pool installed too so that's gonna cost about 30-40k and we have to earn it all within 9 months in order to make it by next summer! BAH!

Anyone here doing anything good with their lives or is gaming and chatting still your main things? I would love to hear about someone getting a kick ass job or graduating college. I sure hope you guys been doing more than gaming and bitching.

Oh yeah...now I remember! Aren't you the spaz that posts all day long useless and annoying posts as if you have no other life?

Can I assume that this is still the case? Have you considered doing anything better with yourself?
 
If you help CheapyD with the move to the new server hardware, you'll be everyone's hero.

Plus, down the road, with the move to VB 3.5.
 
One thing that has changed recently is that CheapyD and Wombat do a Podcast that they call CAGcast where they talk about videogames and videogame news. It's pretty sweet especially because Wombat records it in a studio.
 
Well, let's see....javeryh is now Poopy Porno Pete instead of just Porno Pete. Not sure if you were around for that. I missed it the first time around but the thread has gotten a new round of bumping recently. Besides that I think everyone is the same.

Congrats on the new house. My wife and I are talking pool ourselves and staring down the same $30-40K pricetag as you. It's scary looking down the barrell of that bad boy. Gotta love home equity loans.
 
CAG stopped being a place of good humor a long time ago. Way too much immature humor for my personal tastes. I guess I hang out at my clan site a lot more for plain everyday joking around. punxclan.com if you care..we are a CZ clan (condition zero).

As for the pool and a home equity loan...well we just got the house and I would rather work hard and kick butt for 6 months and pay it off instead of rolling it into a 5-10 year loan that will double the pool cost long term. We can earn an extra 30k in 6 months thankfully.

Yeah, if you can do that more power to ya. Unfortunately I don't have that luxury. I do plan to save enough to pay for at least half and then finance the rest with a HE loan. There is no way I am financing the whole thing cuase like you said, it increases your long term cost. It's tax deductable at least though. We're probably looking at a pool a few years from now. Right now our little dude eats up a good portion of our income.
 
I got 4 kids and I hear ya...did you know that kids eat dog and cat food and don't know it's pet food. Also you can get free clothes are goodwill and the salvation army for your kids.

Hey you gotta save a buck where ya can!

Good tips! I'll have to remember those! I have 2 cats so that'll cut down on our food bill if I can just buy cat food for everyone. :D

Is that your actual house or a virtual tour of a model? I am assuming the latter...very nice in either case. I like the architecture on the inside. Pulte Homes are very good from what I have heard. I think we looked at Pulte Homes when we were moving back to the Chicago area. I think the ones we looked at were too far out, but I don't remember for sure. We ended up with a home by Ryland. From what I understand they have quite a bit out there near Vegas as well.
 
Hey WSB! That virtual tour is the model..but like I said my home is even nicer. Pulte is GREAT imho. I don't know about ryland...maybe they are not in the southwest. We upgraded our bathrooms, flooring, appliances, and other stuff too. I got a great deal I thini. We paid about 440k.

It looks really good. From what we have seen of Ryland out there in Vegas (from pictures on their site) they seems to build really nice houses in that area with lots of options. For some reason that same stuff doesn't make it out here. Our house is nice, but we didn't have many major upgrade options. Sure we could upgrade our countertops and carpetting and shit, but when you get out towards the west coast, you can upgrade with various room designs, extra rooms, etc etc. It seems you get more bang for your buck in Vegas and more options to customize your house.

Nah, I dont do that anymore, I actually post little now days. So how are you doing? BTW, I leave teh crappy posts to javeryh and some other guys now days.

Well they made Hiccupleftovers a mod... you missed out on that one, BigNick has vanished, hrrm... Cheapy is Japan-bound, and then there was some guy pretending to be a netvideo girl, but that was about it.

I think the story is that he finally found a job and found better things to do with his time than hang around CAG. He shows up once in a while, though not that often.

Ooh you moved out to Vegas eh? That actually was on my list of 5 cities that I was hoping to be able to get a job in after I finish my business administration degree this year.

... for those wondering the other 4 are LA, Chicago, Dallas, and the 4th was New Orleans, but now it's Sacramento.
 
Hey Defender. Welcome back. Good to see someone from the old Guard again. As for Big Nick, I havent seen him in awhile...

Also, you were asking about whats going on in the past months or so: There was a big $4.99 sale at Bestbuy that ended in a hot second and there is a green tag sale at TRU. Otherwise, there hasnt been a lot of deals this summer.

It's great to have you back Defender. We definately missed you here. And since you asked, I did graduate from college back in June. No kick ass job yet, but hopefully that'll change real soon.
