Ok, here's what happened:

The hinge on my son's DS Lite was busted, so I got a replacement shell, intending to repair it myself. Everything was going pretty smoothly until I was nearly through re-assembling it. During one of the last steps in the re-assembly process, I managed to break the power switch. Does anyone know of anyone who can help me out? I need someone to:

1. Replace the broken switch (would require at least soldering, plus access to a replacement switch).
2. Finish assembling the DS Lite
3. Double-check to make sure that nothing else is broken.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!

The same thing happened to me. I just ended up getting a new DS. The power switch is made of very weak plastic which I thought was just stupid. Maybe it was designed like that to prevent mods. Can you still slide the power switch mechanism with a very small pointy object? Also, that thing's very small, it'd be hard to solder it.
