Hey,

So I am finally taking the plunge and I decided to build (and by that I mean have a friend build) a gaming PC. I am looking to spend around $1200 at most right now, which includes the monitor, mouse, etc. I already have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition a a copy of Microsoft Office and all related programs so I don't have to worry about that cost. The problem is that I have no idea what components to get in terms of graphics card, processor, motherboard, RAM, and all that jazz.

Is there a site that is helpful to compare all the different components? Or better yet, do you guys, and gals, have any advice as to what worked for you? I am looking to be able to play Diablo III on the highest settings and Skyrim on the highest settings. I know I don't need to spend $1200 to do that but I want to be confident that my new machine will last sometime into the future before I have to add some new parts.

I would really appreciate some input.

Thanks!

-Jon
