Help me make a midi file! (please)

Hi There,

I want to make a 20 second clip of these martians on seasame street into a ringtone. I have it as an mp3, but my low-rent phone only plays mid/midi files.

Can anyone suggest a *free* program to use?

Better yet, can someone just convert this file for me? :)

I've been up and down the sidestreets of the internet, but cant find any free programs or if there is a trial, they have stupid limitations. Thanks!
 
thanks for that link. unfortunately, it's mainly programs that let you turn a midi into an mp3 or wav, and not the other way around. the ones that allow for midi creation have 5 second limitations...

anyone else?
 
Ok what you should do is make the sound bite you want into a mp3 and then upload it to www.mobile17.com and have them send the link to you in your Mobile phones browser and then click the link and choose to download the file as a midi file.

It might cost like a dollar or two in data charges but that is the best way to do it if you ask me.
