Help on how to fix a bricked Wii.

The disc drive in my wii stopped working a little while ago and I bought a new one from japan. The good news is that the disc drive works but now all that shows up on the screen is black, the wii disc drive runs fine all of the lights come on it is just the screen. I don't know if anyone knows how to fix this or am I just going to have to pony up $100 and send it into Nintendo.

Why would anybody pay $100 for a fix, when you can get a brand new bundle for $150.00

Unless you have tons and tons of WiiWare titles, it just doesn't make sense.
