I picked up Fracture at BB this week, but am having seconds thoughts after reading some reviews. Also read QOS is like a cross between COD4 (which I love) and Rainbow 6, but is short.

Should I trade Fracture in for QOS or keep it?? Any opinions on which is the better game??

i haven't played QoS, but i did play the Fracture demo on 360 and i thought it was pretty awful. maybe i didn't give it enough of a chance, but i just couldn't get into it. on the other hand, i've heard people say that QoS is pretty decent, so sight unseen (or "unplayed"), i'd have to put my money on QoS.

I recently played through Quantum of Solace, and I played Fracture back when it came out.

If you want a third person shooter, get Fracture. If you want an FPS, get 007.

Personally, I enjoyed 007 a hell of a lot more. Not saying it's a great game, but I did play through it more than once. It didn't hurt that I got it for less than $10.

And yes, you can beat the game in about 6 hours, but I went through and beat it on 007 difficulty (easiest hard mode ever), and collected all the intel/cell phones. 2 playthroughs, about 11 hours.

But, the multiplayer sucks for both titles.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! I went and traded it in for QOS - sounds like it's definitely the better of the two. Thanks again!

I have yet to play QOS but I played through Fracture when it first came out and it's not a great game but it's by no means as bad as a lot of the reviews made it sound like. It was a new and somewhat interesting feature which is in itself enough to give the title a chance. It was fun and a good rental for sure. I'd say give it a chance if you ever get it again.
QoS is actually quite fun, while Fracture caused me to contemplate autovivisection with a spork.
Intense

Movie licensed games are always supposed to be the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality, but you guys are saying that QOS was actually decent? Do you actually get to use any of the Bond gadgets in the game or is it a straight up shooter?

I ask because I've found that I'll give a shooter with something semi unique to it(Bioshock's plasmids)a chance, but if it's just a straight up shooting game I'll pass over it and never think twice about it.

Although, I will say that I'm contemplating picking up COD4 if I can find it cheap, but only because it's set in modern times and not the cliche and overused WWII setting.
Neither. Just get your money back.
This.

If you have to choose, go with QoS. A rental was enough for me, but I enjoyed it

One of QoS's flaws was that gadgets are pretty much nonexistent other than 007's phone and his car(which you don't drive, thank God).. It is a FPS, with a 3rd-person cover element. Think CoD/Gears combo, though not quite as good on either front. There are a few stealth levels, which actually are executed better than most games, and there are a few instances of QTEs that don't really detract from the experience.

The basic gameplay runs the gamut from basic shooter cliches; sniping missions, chase missions, aforementioned stealth missions...you'll fight decent AI across some really good looking set pieces from the movies, and you'll re-live some pivotal scenes from both films as well.

All-in-all, if you enjoyed Casino Royale and/or Quantum of Solace, as films, you'll probably at least want to play through QoS. It's a solid, albeit derivative, shooter that lets you play through some of the big screen and unseen Bond mojo.

The Bond movies themselves have moved away from gadgets so it's no surprise there. There are "gadgets" in multiplayer but it's just their version of perks (this is a CoD 4 engine game afterall.)

Quantum is a very good movie game, probably the best one this gen. Good single-player and pretty decent multiplayer (if you can get past the shotguns being the most overpowered ones in videogame history.) The RagTag CAG group has been playing this game in multiplayer pretty much non-stop since the sale.

I judge by this comment you've never played Killzone 2 online. Goddamn shotguns.
