Help with problem from a buyer!

I have sold MANY items on ebay and have never had a problem, UNTIL now.

I sold a copy of Dirt 3 with an UNUSED VIP pass. I bought the game brand new and I know the code wasn't used, since I only played the game for about an hour.

Anyways, the buyer has received his item (I mailed it to Florida, but now I see that the buyer's info says that he is in Panama).

I got this message from him today :

"that such a friend
package does not get the VIP pass
if I can help I'd appreciate it a lot
thanks"


I am assuming he is trying to tell me that there is no VIP pass? I know for a fact it was in there. What can he do, and what can I do?

Not sure what to expect now.

just report to ebay the situation and they will most likely clear up the problem. some people on there are such scam artists, its sad.

Wow, he messaged me back and I figured out what the problem was.

Dirt 3's online pass is only 8 digits, but the slip of paper with the pass on it tells you to go to a website to redeem the code to get the standard 12 digit PSN code.

He was thinking that the code was used because he was trying to put the 8 digit code into the playstation store, which requires 12 digits.

I wonder what he would have done if I didn't research this for him :/
