I'm getting a PS3 and VF5...but still not sure I want to fork out the $92 for just 1 stick when I could really use 2.

I'll just wait until I actually have the system and play VF5 enough to decide if I really want to invest the high dollar for a proper device.
 
Freshzen, you should buy 2 of the cheaper Hori sticks (for $84 shipped from one of Amazon.com/s retailers) and then upgrade them to real Sanwa parts later on. You'll get good 2 player right away, and can even customize your stick and button colors if you decide to upgrade.
 
Cheapmonkey, where did you get that image? I followed the link & also checked Gamestop's page, but no image is available. Any other place to find images or information? I definitely want to look into modding that stick...
 
The stick is on sale for this weekend... $92 shipped in the US... probably the cheapest price we'll ever see for an HRAP3 new.

the site didnt show an image. But when i linked it showed up. Not sure but it doesnt look like vf5 graphics on the image, but the stick and button layout will prob be the same as the doa4 stick.
 
Dammit Markman, you've got me tempted. I don't want to drop $92 on it quite yet though... got games to buy before I get new hardware.
 
damn, the HRAP3 just keeps dropping!
I received my HRAP 3 from VGO, the link that Markman provided, and am extremeley impressed. I am more of a VF player so i prefer the VGHS over the HRAP3, but the HRAP3 works well with Tekken. Here's something wierd though. Before the PS3 1.80 firmware update the VGHS worked on PS2 games while the HRAP3 didn't. After the 1.80 firmware update the roles switched! HRAP3 works with PS2 games and VGHS doesnt :bomb:

VGO was responsive and had a great deal. Only complaint is the crappy packaging straight from Hori, not VGO's fault.
 
The HRAP3 works on PS2 games?! Okay now they just need to magically let the PS3s play all region PS2 games and I'm sold.
 
awesome! I ordered two =) .. which means I now have two brand new hori fighting stick 3s for sale if anyone wants them. =)
 
Yeah definitely worth the dollars if you ask me. Just doesn't get any cheaper considering what importers are charging these days.

Agreed with Giant Robot, las I heard, just to get hori real arcade pro 2 stick shipped from play-asia, it was close to 40 bucks, which ran the total up to 124 to 130 bucks shipped. High Score has the best deal currently IMHO
