How do the marketplace matches work?

Sorry if this was answered in a FAQ somewhere, but I couldn't find one.

Basically, when I try to search for games under the matches part of the marketplace, nothing comes up, it just tells me to add games to my trade and wishlists.

I've got tons of games on my wishlist, but it still doesn't bring up any matches. I have zero games on my trade list, since I'm a collector, and don't plan to trade or sell any of my games.

Am I doing this wrong?

In order for the marketplace to work you need games in your trade list. Thats the only way currently that the marketplace will make matches for you. If you don't plan on selling/trading any of your games then you'll just have to look at the games in your wishlist then scroll down to see who has those games available to buy.
