How Do You Set-Up A Wireless Printer?

yaeh so umm...i want to set up my laptop to be able to print wirelessly through my downstairs printer. Is there anyway to do this and if so how? Can I just do it through my wireless router or do I need something else?

If your printer is already wireless, you need to attach to your network. The manual for the printer will show you how to do this.

If your printer isn't wireless, you need to get a wireless print server, connect your printer to the print server and then connect the print server to your wireless network. The manual for the print server will show you how to do this.

If there is a computer with wireless connection connected to teh printer, just set the printer as part of a network.

Control Panel - Printers - Right click the printer you want to use (on the computer it's connected to) - sharing. Enable sharing. Then go to my network places, should pop up. If not, add the printer manually (Add network place link). If there's a problem, close all firewalls. This is assuming you have a network already set up. If you don't, click on the link to set up small/home office network in my network places.
