How exactly does Bestbuy's "protection plan" work for a video game system?

I recently bought a 3DS XL and they offered me the plans. I denied em but they said I had 15 days to change my mind.

What is the difference between the "standard" and "accidental" protection plan? I plan to keep my 3DS in good shape but if I can get a brand new one in a year or two by using this plan I actually would like to do it. I don't want them to fix my system, I would want a brand new system. Which plan will get me that?

any help would be appreciated.

 
I had a two year warranty on my iPod nano and my 3rd gen iPod touch. For my nano, they refunded me all my money in gift card form. For itouch, they gave me a new 3rd gen.

I think it states that they would try to fix it and if not, they would replace it.

Also please me aware of Ninty's crappy digital download system, as games are tied to systems and not accounts.

You actually have a 1 year warranty from Ninty when you register it on Club Nintendo
