How long does a Toys R Us return typically take to post to a credit card?

I bought some items at my local TRU on Thursday as part of their clearance deal. After being checked out, I thought the total seemed a bit higher than it should have been, (I calculated it beforehand) and sure enough, the cashier had rung up an item one too many times.

I immediately brought it to a free cashier to have the value of the extra item returned to my credit card. I have a receipt saying it was returned, but even though a few days have passed, I don't see the credit returned to my card, though the original purchase appears.

Is this normal, or should I return to Toys R Us to get them to process the return again?

Depends on bank 

Obviously just wait a week or something.

If the receipt shows that there is a refund coming to your card then it will show up eventually.
