I really have no idea if anyone here will know... but I love the style/filters on this poster and I want to know how to recreate it. Anyone have any ideas or a place where I would be better suited to ask?

Gradient of the colors you want layer set to Color mode.

Make a pattern yourself that consists of a patch of those diamonds.

Fill a layer with that pattern, Gaussian blur it, set to blend.

Put your image underneath those two layers.

Make a solid black layer on top for the chunk at the bottom. Cutout the design you need for text/logo etc.

Erase parts with a.. I don't remember, move the slider down to say 40% on the eraser to get the pattern to show through parts you want on your text.

Touch up result with burn/dodge tool for the "rays" of light at the top.

That's how I'd do it without opening the program off the top of my head.

edit: actually, you could render clouds on a layer below the color/pattern and reduce the opacity so you barely see it for that smokey effect if you want to be lazy.

Just threw a gradient down, set it to color and used a half-tone filter.

Not exact, but it takes like like a minute to do. If you take your time, you could probably come up with something that looks exactly like it.

sweet, thanks guys I'll give it a shot. I realized that after my last reformat I didn't reinstall photoshop and I can't find my discs so I'm going to attempt to make this work in Gimp.

Thanks for the tips!
