It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

i'm thinking if i even want to bother trying for this in the morning..... it says it's in stock in the store nearest me and can do in store pick up. but basically everywhere else in Ga. sold out in an hour.

Radio Shack employees hoarded them, I tried those too.
I may take a chance with Sams tomorrow and price match later in the week if they drop it. Otherwise, I'll just return it.
 
Just got my best buy "not in stock email". That was faster then I thought, wasn't expecting it until the morning. I'm officially disappointed. . . . .

Plus to be fair. Radio Shack update once a day around 4am? same with other less online tech heavy retails like Big Lots and Toys R Us.
 
Whaaaaat... Until a few minutes a go the website said both models were available at my local BB. Now it says "Unavailable" for that store and "In-store only" for the only other store near me... And by near I mean it's over an hour away. Not sure this is worth the hassle anymore...
 
Ordered one for in-store pickup and got a call from my store saying it was not in stock. I have not received a cancellation email though. I am hoping they aren't selling them until tomorrow... I can only hope...

I think they're stopping the madness until they come up with a solution. Probably will lower the price and only let people buy ones from stores that have them in stock.
 
Yup, BB online doesn't let you select pick up from store anymore, I take it that means my order is being cancelled. I give up, I've been staying sober so I can run out and get one, F that, I'm having some drinks now.
 
well I want one more so I guess I'll get inline tomarow at 10 am and cross my fingers.. Any Best Buy employees on here that can recamend if its faster to goto customer service or computer area??
 
Called about an hour ago when it came down from corp and ordered one so it would be put on hold, took a leasurly drive to the best buy walked in past the computer area where there was a bunch of people conjealing to the Service desk asked if I wanted the 65 doller hp keyboard laughed and said no

Stopped at another Best Buy(less poor fuckups) to look at accessories and the CSR told me they sold over 55 in the hour since the emial from corporate and they are sold out in town(Tucson Arizona)

Just got my photon on friday. I had the evo3d for a month. So far im really liking the photon :)
 
What blows about this is I was at BB today and they had a ton for full price. Now I'm sure they are all sold out. Damn this totally sucks! Been trying all day to get one for my folks.

find a computer rep btw most stores open at 11 tomorrow being that it is sunday keep in mind some stores already sent them out like my store. most stores in the miami area already sent them so they dont get stuck with like a 300 dollar loss. we sent them out as soon as corperate sent out the initial news to pull them
 
I really hate Walmart! I went there for a price adjustment and they wouldn't do it. The first time I didn't have the box so I went back another time. They told me the only thing they could is refund it for a full refund. I was highly pissed! The store manager has to do the override, but that's fucked up. The electronics manager told me I could do the price adjust and even the night manager told me that. I wouldn't have bought it for the full price if I couldn't get it adjusted. I'm hoping that my Best Buy is selling them tomorrow. I have about $100 in giftcards, and I will return this thing to Wal-Mart and let them have it! I'm never shopping there again once this whole thing is over with! So Best Buys are selling it tomorrow for the cheaper price?

Well, I'll settle for the 32GB version. It was in my cart until I saw the flood of posts saying that both versions are sold out online.

Now, I'm thinking of returning my Motorola Triumph to Best Buy as well and get the LG Optimus for the Hotspot feature.
 
Hmm, had one in my cart already set to store pick up when it went offline. Well the checkout button was still lit and I was able to complete the order at full price just fine. I'm expecting a cancellation email first thing in the morning

Engadget reported an internal memo about an internal price cut at RS. No telling WHEN it'll hit, but money on Sunday or Monday - hopefully Sunday. Can check stock online.

Yeah, Walmart totally screwed us this morning, too. Four other people in the store at about 8:30am, and Walmart wouldn't budge. Hours later, they sold 'em all. Clear as day that it was on liquidation price-cut, I'm absolutely convinced the employees helping us bought them and will boycott Walmart for years because of it.

Ah well.

BB isn't handling this any better, not with the website fiasco. And HPs reservation system server is supposedly too busy. This goes way beyond the Revue sale.

Has anyone heard from any Best Buy in-store pick up orders? I ordered one and received an order confirmation. Any chance it will actually go through, the store was marked as AVAILABLE, not SHIP TO STORE.
