It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

Are you talking about that silver white ish plastic wrap? All my other orders were sent using that kind of packaging. Been using free shiping.

Has anyone who ordered after 4AM Central gotten their order updated to "approved and sent to order management"? We ordered at 11:30PM Central on Monday. I'm wondering if that's not just a generic status update.

ETA - I should clarify, our order has been updated to "approved" but we ordered way past the apparent cut off time.

My INSIGHTS order is updated again. The FedEx tracking number shows it in step 1 "initiation", meaning shipment information has been sent to fedex, but they have not picked it up or started to deliver it yet. Still doesnt mean for sure I'll be receiving it.
Is anyones INSIGHT order past this part yet? Some guy earlier posted, but his was via UPS Ground I think.
 
I ordered from Insight yesterday evening (8-22). My order status is currently - Processing. With Credit Status - OK.

Estimated arrival date is September 6th. I haven't received a tracking number yet and the charges are currently pending.

I'm hoping sometime tomorrow I'll receive a tracking number.

This has been one crazy whirlwind.

That Hitler video was pretty spot on. Although, it was disappointing to read that Netflix is not available on the Touchpad.

I hope that changes and Netflix gets added either through Web OS or the potential Android OS, if that ever gets put on the device.

Also snagged a case and touchstone while I was there.

Question for anyone who've kept up with this thread, I stopped at 240 and came straight to the last 10 pages. Remember that link someone posted the other day to the glitched HP SMB cart? At the time everyone was thinking those are getting cancelled, but I called HP today and the rep told me that order has been approved, and the website said it is being sent to order management. I haven't gotten a shipping email yet, but has anyone been saying that their's have been cancelled once it got to this stage? I mean, with SMB, once it says it's being sent to order on the website, has anyone had a cancellation?

lol, no idea. I honestly didnt know about anyone getting shot here. But a month or two ago my friends somehow heard some guy did, and they wouldnt let me hear the end of it (and they live in LA!!!)
Do you live here? Have any more info on what you mean? My neighborhood is super nice as is most of the surrounding. Where I work though is sketchy, and there is a lot of bums here lately. I guess once the economy hit the pooper, so did even a laidback peaceful city like mine.

i was at mine in ca just look and they had a sign that said all hp touch pads will not be sold, they are bieng shipped back to hp. so yeahh.. ima check back tomorrow anyway lol

lol... you must work over there off Colton Ave. No, I don't live there I live in Riverside but I'm a UPS driver and used to deliver in the city a lot.

Got mine from BB today. After installing Preware and killing the background debuggers, I'm really pleased! Have Kindle app installed (making this a $99 full color e-book reader in the least!)

Debated reselling, but once the wife saw it, she won't let it go!

If you can ignore the fact that webOS lacks apps.. then it's one of the best tablets on the market. Quick processor, stable o/s, beautiful screen. :p

yeah i log in, see my 2 orders then when i try to view them to see the status nothing happens from then on. it tries to open but never does.

My Insight order has shipped and will be here Thursday sometime. I ordered both the 16 GB and 32 GB at around 5 AM yesterday morning. The 32 GB is the one that shipped.

My OD order is shipped.

I stopped by OD tonight and picked up an HP wireless keyboard for $30, the cashier told me OD sometimes just delivers items themselves rather than using an outside shipper. That would explain the lack of tracking numbers and the fact that my order shows: "You are stop #10 . The truck is currently at stop # 0 of 60"
 
I dont really care if people start dumping their tablets, I will still have mine just like i still have my PS2 and my Ipod touch..Stop complaining. If you dont like it then go somewhere else dude.

My first post!

I have an order from zones and insight... credit card charged on insight order, but no shipping notification yet from either site.

My BN order was canceled, but I dont know anyone who got one from them.
