In one breath you loudly brag about how you're a hoarder - cleaning out stores in order to put money in your pocket regardless of who it puts out - but it's OK because you know you're a greedy hypocrite. Then in the next breath you're attempting to scold your betters for daring to have purchased more than one Touchpad you permit them for personal use; no additional units for anyone else they know. :lol: I guess I struck a nerve since you've taken to namecalling, huh?;) What shocks me(aside from the fact that you claim to have friends, though imaginary ones don't count:razz:) most is still how you STILL seem to think there's a difference between buying 4 Touchpads for yourself and friends and someone hoarding 5 copies of a game from a sale. There is NOT.

In BOTH cases, the people buying the items are depriving other folks from being able to get in on the sale items by buying multiples.

But because you were buying them for friends and acquaintances that suddenly makes it more acceptable that you hoarded four TouchPads and deprived 3 other people from being able to buy one for themselves because your friends/relatives just HAD to have them?

Download DigiCamera Lite from the App Catalog. For some reason HP only allowed the camera to be used during video calls and didn't include a photo application.
 
Enough fighting guys, lol. Who cares what you spend your money on. After my order arrived from Best Buy, I received a call from Walmart and they told me I could pick up the Touchpad I returned for the $150. (they were too dumb to price adjust) Did I turn that down? No because my mom wanted one so it was a win win. As for flipping games, I don't see anything wrong about it. Of close buying more than one thing possibly eliminates someone else from buying a copy, but most oriole around here don't take advantage of these sales. That's why it's always good to get to a sale of any kind early. It's a shame that your tablet was stolen. I would think about getting a P.O box for future purchases. I'll probably get flamed for this post, but oh well. It's the internet...
 
Wow...haven't been to this thread in a bit since I got my Touchpad from BB, but what a terrible thread it has become. Interesting how it started with anticipation and excitement, to posting successful acquisition and helping others, to spite and disgust, to arguing and bashing.

If I buy more than 1 package of toilet paper, am I a horder?
 
a couple of best buys here in houston are getting the accessories back in. i picked up the keyboard last night. everythings back to full price so youll have to get them to price match office depot if you want them cheap. i called the store that showed to have them in stock and the girl told me theyve been sold out for awhile but since i found the dock at another location i decided to drop by anyway and found the keyboard. it seems like they cant even search for it in their system so your best bet is the tracker here. also if anyone likes the zagg shield, its dropped down to 9.99

Other than sharing the initials "TP", that's a ridiculous comparison. One is in short supply, the other is plentiful, still being manufactured, and will be for the foreseeable future.
 
I Have been looking for a long time and had a bunch of near misses and cancelations like everyone else. So i have about given up and was wondering what a reasonable offer would be.

I was thinking something like $150 + shipping. For a 16gb preferably new or at least no scratches or overclock. Through paypal since it offers some protection.

I mean it looks really cool and i think i would like it. But again like a lot of people i think i would get bored fast with no new apps coming.

I might have to pick up another one. I bought the griffin one and there's a few bubbles here and there. I'll check tomorrow when I go into work.

At this point I would say those who have ordered from HP will get their order. The other companies might still deliver. There is little to no chance that HP will put up the TouchPad up on their website for sale again. It is also unlikely that retailers will get a re-stock too. This is to be the last manufacture run, it would make sense that they make enough for their orders, some retailers for back orders and then sell the rest in a orderly and controlled manner.
 
HP also has to retain enough parts and complete units to cover warranty repairs as well, so there's always going to be some of the inventory that won't go out for sale.
 
The only way they could make it accurate is if they added an "Employee Car" checkbox next to their "Mobile Speciality Store" checkbox.

For those who don't know know, the HP Store is doing instant savings on TP accessories again. Me and my friend ordered the wireless keyboard earlier for $26.75 using the HPSAVE10 code. :D

You can also use the SAVE15HP or SAVE30HP too. SD will probably kill it soon though.

You can use the SAVE15 code too, but the shipping pretty much kills it making it the same price it is at Amazon. :/ So I guess it depends on if the touchstone will ever go down any lower in price before they're gone for good.

bah, missed out on it. I've been debating the keyboard; on one hand it sure would be convenient to have, but on the other, traveling with it might be a pain and would take most of the portability aspect away from the device.

Unless someone here crossposts it from there almost immediately when they find out, you might be up the creek.

I doubt you'll see HP offer up any more for sale from them directly, as I'd guess that unless you have an order with them at the current time that's still live/backordered, then you're not likely to get a chance to have it be orderable again from them.

The keyboard is back in stock now. Yeah I did too, but once I found out that it can be used for most bluetooth enabled devices I went ahead and ordered since I had always been looking for one for my ps3, and it also comes in handy if you want to do a lot of typing on the TP especially since the touch keyboard doesn't always enter the right words or symbols (which can get annoying having to re-type).

Everything is out of stock now (touchstone, keyboard and case). I hoe they come back. The validation for the coupon value is based on the price before the instant savings. So for example, you can use SAVE30HP with a touchstone, case and the grey sleeve for ~ 62 or if you purchase a wired TP charger you can get all three for 57.

Useless now of course, hehe. Let's hope they come back

I just got a shipping confirmation from HP Small Business for my first order of two 32gb touchpads for the wife and I. Says it shipped today via RPS, but the number is Fedex (maybe Roadway (RPS) delivers to Fedex?) Anyway, I have two different tracking numbers. One is recycled, so no updates on it. The other says Fedex Ground will be to me on Thursday. I have not been charged yet, but I am sure I will see that tomorrow. This order was placed on Saturday August 20th around 5:30pm. My other order for my mother-in-law, placed Sunday August 21 at around 11:30 am, has not shipped yet. When I check the order status on the HP status page, neither order, even the one that shipped, is updated as saying anything except processing. Either way, the first order shipped and I am finally excited about the Touchpad!!

Its not for new orders. You had to of placed a 16gb order that was canceled. OM is offering those who ordered, the chance to upgrade to a 32gb for only $50 more.

Both of my orders were upgraded to free overnight because I was courteous and kind compared to others they had to deal with...or so I was told... :) It was a lovely touch. :)

Excited to get my hands on it - it is for a friend that doesnt have a recent computer so I hope it works well for basic Internet functionality, etc.
