Me too. I've heard a lot of great things about it and the 3d in it but it would be a complete blind buy on my part.

Anyone have impressions that's seen it? There's some good prices in there for sure. I might get Hitman for 5, Zero Dark Thirty, Amazing Spider man 3d (Heard the 3d isn't great in this one) and that Life of Pi which I'm unsure of.

The movie is gorgeous and the 3D is wonderful. It got compared to Avatar but for me it was a totally different experience. My only warning is that the ending is very patronizing. I didn't let it bother me but the movie has a oddly religious undertone that comes to a head at the end. Interestingly, it doesn't even seem to matter if you're religious or not, some people hate the ending and some people love it.

Now my turn, anyone seen Hotel Transylvania? it got really mixed reviews. Has anyone seen the 3D is good?

You'll get email updates saying if anything's backordered and if you want to cancel any of them, you can. I'd just wait it out, and if nothing happens within 30 days, contact Fry's customer service.

Hotel Transylvania 3D is okay. It does have some cute/funny parts (my favorite was the Dave Matthews Band joke). 3D doesn't really change the experience, but as with most all digital animation films, it does look good in 3D. I'm thinking about selling/trading my copy since I don't think I'll watch it a lot.

I ordered The Dark Knight Trilogy set for $20 the day after Christmas - which was possibly a pricing error since the DVD version stayed at $30. It was backordered and shipped about a month later. No complaints.

Yep, this. While I enjoy movies like this, I always feel like they could do so much more in the joke departments because of the great concepts. Funnier in the beginning, and it tails off. It seems they get hung up with the story part. The truly great flicks, animated or not find ways to balance both throughout the entire presentation.

My wife liked that movie a lot. I was going to order it but it doesn't say "ships free" like the others do.

I ordered five movies from this sale yesterday morning, and four were listed as backordered.

This morning I received a shipping notification that stated that all five shipped.

So I picked up Raising Arizona, Predator: Ultimate and Donnie Darko 4-Disc.

Dammit.

edit: just received the dreaded backorder update email but of course it didn't specify which of the 3 movies is affected. I'll just ride it out and hope for the best.
