So Is phantasy star portable 2
Oh snap I just noticed Valkyria Chronicles 2 on that list for 15.99
Yep dang good portable experience as well. Not as good as Valkyria 1 but if you don't buy this game much like the ps3 version you are the complete problem. Especially at this price.

it says in the list that shank is getting a permanent price drop to $10. does that mean itll be the same on xbox?

There are also some Playstation Plus-only sales. The NEOGEO games are 20% off ($7.19), Sonic 4 is $7.50, and Battlefield 1943 is $9. Also, Blue Toad Murder Files has been released on PC. It will probably be available on all the casual gaming portals, but Shockwave has it now for $6.99.

There is no way to play the PSP games on the PS3 yet correct?

I really want Valkyrie 2. But if it's PSP only I prefer to own the UMD.

Correct...and there never will be.

I looked at the complete list of changes and honestly, it seems like a let down compared to the XBL sale. That said, I'll probably pick up all of Blue Toad Murder Files for $15. That's $2.50 per episode which is fairly reasonable (other than the fact that I had already bought episode 1 for .49.).

All the borderlands DLC in a bundle for $30 isn't a good deal, I just don't understand why Sony can't match Microsoft's deals.

Looking at the list again made me laugh, PSN finally got Risk Factions and they release it for $10 the same week that MS has it on sale for both gold and silver members for $5. I was waiting until PSN got it to buy it but now I'm thinking about buying it for Xbox since it's half price even though I can't play it online there....
a bunch of 20% off sales, whoo shippiddy whoohoo, STEAM is laying monster craps all over sony.
Yeah, because comparing the prices of PC games and console games is a great idea.
Yeah, because comparing the prices of PC games and console games is a great idea.
Microsoft is also beating the shit out of Sony. It's like the folks at Sony have resigned themselves to third place and they aren't even going to attempt to compete. It's fucking pathetic.

Sweet. I'm glad I held off on getting the Onslaught mode for BC2. 5 bucks is a lot more attractive. Just wish they would have dropped the price of the SPECAT gear as well.

I agree with some of the others. Yay for sales, but Sony just doesn't ever really try. Consoles need to step it up a bit to make digital downloads really take off for them.
Correct...and there never will be.
I don't know about that....the PS3 has the ability to play PSP games, it just hasn't been unlocked.

I don't own an Xbox and have never played one so I could be wrong on this but, don't you have to pay to use Xbox Live or is that just for online play. PSN is free so how can you compare the two when it comes to the price of download-able games?

You only have to pay for online play. Risk costs 10 right now on the psn and its 5 on xbl. I don't have a gold membership so in this case I'm not buying it on either console but I did get lara croft for half price on xbox since its full price on psn.

Might pick up Sonic 4 and Sonic Adventure. I already have the Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube.

I have been reading reviews on Sonic 4 and they seem to be very mixed. Have not read anything about Sonic Adventure yet. Does anyone have opinions on these games?

Sonic Adventure is absolute garbage. The first 3 or so levels are great, then it turns in to a mess. IGN scored it in the mid 4's and I don't feel that's far off.

Going to have to jump on that valkaria chronicles 2 deal. Even if it takes a few months for me to actually play it, I have to support games like this because valkaria chronicles is fucking awesome.
I'm probably going to pickup the Genesis Collection. I have it for 360, but it would be great to have on PSP, too.
Just a bit of warning, this isn't exactly the same collection as on the 360. It's the previous collection Sega did about 4-5 years ago with a slightly different pool of games.

Not that I think any of these deals are great but in all fairness M$ hasn't had that many great deals on LIVE either and the way I see M$ is too concerned about getting your mom and you're little sister in front of the tv so they can secretly watch them shaking their :censored:

Thanks for the heads up. It's missing some, right? I think it's still a pretty good collection, no?

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light – Things That Go Boom Pack 2 –
Permanent Price Change (PS3) (now $3.49, original price FREE)

damn good deal.

Question, do I have to buy PSP games on the PSP or can I transfer games from the PS3 to PSP? It would be much easier and faster to download to my PS3 while I am sleeping tonight than my PSP.

Hmm, nothing really enticing me to buy this week. Shank was just $7.49 a couple weeks ago (now $9.99) and Burn Zombie Burn was a free download for Plus members recently (now $4.99). Oh well...

Honestly the most exciting things this week are the demos...LBP 2, Dead Space 2 AND the Mass Effect 2 demo?! Damn, time to get downloading...

Noticed at the PS blog link that was posted, that Dante's Inferno "Trials of St Lucia" DLC got a permanent price drop to $4.99.

Dunno anything about it, is it worth getting for someone who quite enjoyed the Dante's Inferno single player experience? Only DLC I got so far is the Forest stuff that came with the coupon inside the game...

Buy on PS3 and download; then hook up usb cable to PS3 to copy.
Buy on PS3 and download; then hook up usb cable to PS3 to copy.
You can do this or you can also buy on your PS3 and then download it straight to your PSP from your account online via WiFi. Once you purchase a game on PSN, you can download it more than once to either your console or handheld or both at any time. How you get the game on each is entirely up to you.

Is there a way to purchase PSN games fom the PS store from my PC? I wont have access to my PS3 for another 2 weeks and dont want to miss these deals
Is there a way to purchase PSN games fom the PS store from my PC? I wont have access to my PS3 for another 2 weeks and dont want to miss these deals
Hmm, the only way I think you can do this from your PC is if you purchase the game code on Amazon. I highly doubt this will work though, as there are two major problems:

1-Amazon does NOT offer every PSN game that the store does, it's usually a limited selection of downloadable games.

2-Amazon does not honor the sales that the PSN store does either. I even called their customer service once to see if they would and they turned me down.

Valkyria Chronicles II is a steal at this price. Paid $25x2 for me and the wife and was pretty happy with it. considering getting it via PSN so I can download it and not use the UMD...

There's a program you can download called "Media Go" from Sony's website. It'll enable you to access the PSN store from your PC, download to PC, then transfer to PSP. I use this all the time, as downloads are far faster than using the PS3, as is browsing the PSN.
