You ever feel Layton games have too many puzzles? Maybe that's a dumb question for someone who really enjoys that sort of thing. I just sometimes wish the game would get ON WITH IT. I felt Walking Dead balanced narrative and puzzle solving really well.
I don't think I'm the correct person to be answering questions like this, as should be evident by my avatar:lol: Personally I can't have enough of the puzzles:bouncy:
Can anyone who's played these games, or most of them, provide some insight if you wouldn't mind? I've played The Walking Dead but the rest I haven't touched.

Thanks for any info!
Sam and max is a very good game.
BTTF is a good game.
Poker Night is very fun if you just like one liners and banter. Best way I can describe it is its not like poker that you go to a casino to play, but more poker as in you get a group of friends together and BS while playing poker.

Glad I didn't buy Walking Dead from Amazon, I was real close just a few days ago. This is a much better deal, and the extra games are just an added bonus.
I always thought they did a good job with the difficulty in the Layton games, but maybe I'm just dumb:lol: really interested in playing Puzzle Agent now though, I need another puzzle adventure game fix:bouncy:
My criticism about Layton was more about presentation. I had no issues with the puzzles being too easy. Moving through dialog is slow. They make sure you understand every concept before moving on to the next one. They ask if you want things repeated. It happens with a lot of games on Nintendo platforms. I always wish they had a box in the settings menu that you could check to assure them that you're an adult who has played video games before so you can get an hour or two of your life back.

I really like the Layton games. I just want to enjoy them at a bit faster pace.

Can anyone who's bought the bundle confirm something for me? I saw the homepage and it says this:

"If you pay more than the average, you’ll also get The Walking Dead! This bundle also includes two soundtracks to fill your ears with sweet, sultry sounds."

... but I see no mention of any soundtracks in each game's page. So is that a typo? I want to know if I have to pay over the average to get the soundtracks - if they really are included.
... I buy them but I'll most likely never install and/or play them, but still.
Oh good, I thought I was the only one. I consider these awesome bundles as donating $1 a week to Steam for the opportunity of maybe someday in the future having access to an arsenal of great games I've never played from future past.

The only Steam game I've ever played to completion is Windosill, which I had to buy & play after seeing how it worked on the IT Crowd Series 4 DVD Menu.

I BTA (yes, I have my TWD key) and I see two soundtracks:
Hector (MP3 only)
Puzzle Agent (FLAC & MP3)

Hector and Puzzle Agent have soundtracks. You do not need to BTA to get them. It's in the OP.

payed BTA price and got Puzzle Agent Soundtrack (FLAC, MP3) and Hector: Badge of Carnage (MP3 only)

Thanks for the answers.

I'm guessing those are the same soundtracks from the respective Indie Royale packs. Sigh. I wish they'd put the Sam and Max OSTs in these. :(

Grabbed it for $4.05 earlier. Already have TWD on ps3 & iOS, but will play through again. Probably gonna rent the 360 version too.

I like this game almost too much, plus I would like to make some different decisions.

I already own TWD on Steam, so it was easy for me to decide what version of this awesome Telltale Bundle to get. :D

Great deal.

Wait, I immidately bought the bundle for $1, now I want to increase the amount to BTA but the usual indication of the BTA required is not in the increase amount space. So I'm left wondering if I'll get TWD if I increase my amount or if I will have to buy another bundle.

Anybody seen this before? Do they have different rules for increasing amount later for the weekly bundles or?

No you can increase it just like a normal bundle and you will get TWD. BTA went up $.02 while I was buying so I just upped my payment accordingly.

Thanks, I tried it and it works. Still a bit uncomfortable not having the usual indicator. I e-mailed humblebundle about it.

Thanks. This is so awesome... $1 for all those games that I'll probably never/play, but my excuse being: Charity. I'd kill to have deals like this on Wii U/PS4/XB1 when the digital future arrives.

This is my first time buying a weekly, but that is weird about it not having the indicator. I'd prefer it if the indicator was there in case I change my mind later on, especially since the average is higher now than when I bought.

I was about to buy TWD on Amazon for $10 a few days ago. Glad I waited. I had played almost all of these games but owned non of them on Steam itself except Poker Night at the Inventory. After activating the key and restarting Steam it gave me a gift copy of Poker Night at the Inventory. All around win!

So, I've never used Steam before. Or beaten the average.
Do I have to redeem the Walking Dead Steam Key now before the average raises over what I paid, or can I put it off til later when I have more time?

Once you bought it, it's yours. You can do whatever you want with it.

Once you complete the purchase at above the average you get TWD Steam key. You can wait a year to redeem it if you want to. People are still trading around keys from the early bundles.
It's a great deal but I haven't been into adventure games in over fifteen years or so and I don't think very highly of what Telltale passes off as 'adventure games' -- they're more like interactive movies without much puzzle solving. But for people who are fans of that stuff they are good for what they are. The Sam and Max stuff is probably the closest they come to an actual adventure game.

/cue Elder Peppers.
I'm an "old graphic adventure gamer" too... but I enjoyed the telltale games I tried, each one for what they are

BttF is über easy, but I liked it that way because I wanted to revive the movies... and the story, dialog and voices are great, so, I had a lot of fun with the game.

TWD is an interactive movie... a very good one. Is not a GOTY game as everyone states, but a lot of people got their eyes on telltale and adventure games thanks to this one, and somewhat I am happy that "some kind" of adventure game was GOTY on many places, instead of (again) a FPS or TPS.

Sam & Max games are more like the classic graphical adventure, a bit far from the original, but good and fun games, right on path

I still ain't played Telltale's Monkey Island games, but I will play them without comparing vs the first two originals, that wouldn't be fair, those were masterpieces!

I think Telltale is doing a great work introducing people to adventure gaming. My wife started with Puzzle Agent, then Hector, Sam & Max... and now is an Adventure fan. She plays every adventure game that has "humor" on it. Well, to be fair, the first Adv. game she ever played was Full Throttle, so she started with the right foot. But that was many years ago... then, recently, Telltale games made her like videogames again

I'll probably won't be able to use my computer for a month or so, maybe more, would the Steam keys somehow expire if I buy it now?
I'll probably won't be able to use my computer for a month or so, maybe more, would the Steam keys somehow expire if I buy it now?
steam keys never expire as far as I know.

Is there a different way of paying for these aside from using a credit card, such as buying those pre-paid visa cards at stores?

I cared about decisions up to the point when I realized certain events couldnt be avoided. I could see them being postponed but not avoidable at all? Lame.

Hmm, purchased and BTA but both Steam keys are giving me an error when I try to activate them in Steam as invalid. Wha?

Edit: Nevermind. Must have just needed some time. Got them to work a few minutes later.
I still ain't played Telltale's Monkey Island games, but I will play them without comparing vs the first two originals, that wouldn't be fair, those were masterpieces!
I don't think Monkey Island is part of the bundle.
Unfortunately, cause I need that one.
Is there a different way of paying for these aside from using a credit card, such as buying those pre-paid visa cards at stores?
You should be able to link a bank account to PayPal and use that. Those prepaid cards should work fine using the available payment methods. Just click one, like Amazon, and add the prepaid card.

It's disappointing that they included a bunch of seasons that have been in past indie bundles but excluded Strong Bad... or (depending how you look at it) that they didn't include more seasons that haven't already been bundled.

Either way, this bundle makes me feel like an idiot for ever paying more than a dollar for a Telltale season.

I really want to love Adventure games but it just isn't in there.

Keep on trying...keep on buying...I'm used to combining things what don't make sense combined with other things. *obvious dick joke*

I'm surprised the BTA is still so low, especially for a game that was so widely lauded. Usually when I see the humble e-mail, maybe one or two hours after it was sent, the BTA is usually already unreasonably high for much less exciting games than TWD.

Even the usually two to three times higher mac and linux contributions are basically the same low as the windows one. Maybe because one of the game is Steam only (probably rubs some of the Linux crowd the wrong way) and one of the game is windows only?

I think it's more the fact that TWD is the only BTA game, so anyone who has it is dropping the average with >$1 buys. IIRC other weeklies like Bastion and Alan Wake all hovered between $2.50-$4 for the majority, so this isn't really that much of an anomaly.

This. I already own TWD so no reason to pay above the $1.
This. I already own TWD so no reason to pay above the $1.
Ditto, except for my love of TellTale. Even then, I already own 1/2 of the other games too, so...

Anybody having issues with their humble pages right now? I went to my weekly bundle page and can't access my Steam keys. The page doesn't do anything. Tried in two browsers with the same result. Tried my HiB8 page with the same result. Can't claim it to my account either. Just redeemed some keys from both yesterday so not sure what is going on.
Just went to my Telltale page and loaded up fine.
Uh, annoying. Will try to restart and see if there is anything on my end, but just yesterday it worked fine for me.

Edit:
And apparently it was Adblock for me. Works fine now that I disabled it on Humble. Weird.

I don't think humble is locking in the average if you don't bta any more.
Paid a dollar within the first few minutes of the Telltale bundle.
Then today I added more to bta and I had to beat the current avg. to get a TWD key.

Already had TWD, Sam and Max, and the second Poker game, and tried and didn't like the Wallace and Gromit, but still worth a few bucks for Puzzle Agent.
