Gonna get the full $6 tier I think. Can't resist complex space sims. mmmmm...
FTL is about as complex as I can handle :baby:

My question is... how do the people who make the gameplay vids learn how to play?

So after an hour of trolling through space I cannot find a single mission that isn't marked "Hard" or requires some kind of fancy, expensive upgrade to my crappy ship. Looks like most of the missions are also timed. fuck that noise. I ended up getting struck by something while I was digging through the shitty menus and discovered then that there is no autosave.

Don' got time fo 'dis.

this game is pretty bananas indeed, I got it when amazon was doing their recent digital sale and have been struggling with it myself. I jumped straight to the prelude dlc since its supposed to be the easiest to get into as well as having full controller support, but I am still having a hard time.

If you play as a terran fighter, you can just follow the story mission. But if you play as a humble merchant you have to amass a substantial wealth so that you can afford a better ship. You dont have to take a quest immediately. Just do a buy and sell, and before you know it you have lots of money in hand.

also check those videos I posted a few pages back. It will help you understand the game.

Regarding auto save, every time you dock in a station, change sector, your game is save automatically.

Ehhh don't think I'm gonna buy this deal. I was researching and I saw a video that looked awesome - then I realized it's a trailer for X Rebirth. That thing looks INSANE. There's not really a point in my mind in buying this bundle, there's no way I'd play all the games. It'd be like buying a Civilization bundle. Why would I play 1 or 2 or 3 when it would come with 4 and 5?

I wish I could eject from my ship and the ship would slam into my enemy.
If someone made a game set in space where I could do stuff like this...[customspoiler='developers of the world take note']http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU8fTWoyEMY[/customspoiler]

Because I've got Civ 1/2 (FreeCiv) on my phone, lablet, & laptop... Civ 4 takes almost 20 GB, Civ 5 requires a substantial GPU. ...And I like Civ 1&2.

I've come so close to buying each of the $1 games separately on multiple occasions, so glad I held out for this ^_^Y U no bootcamp?
250 gb hard drive. Trying not to be naughty with windows, but not really interested in spending tons of money buying it. Plus with no disc drive, installing 8 or 7 is a kind of a big pain in the behind.

I'll preface by saying that this is a steal for $1 to get those four games. That said I think I'll be passing since I have the main one I would actually play (Anna). Skydrift and Sine Mora seem neat, but they would just be two games I'd be forcing myself to play/finish.

I somehow already acquired SkyDrift (and the Extreme Fighters Airplane pack!) and I'm assuming it's because I am a sucker for anything that I can fly through that resembles Utah red rock.

I'm in for $1 to get the rest of the cheap tier.

If anyone's on the fence, there are demos available on steam for everything but Anna.

Probably from when GMG had it for $2.xx a few weeks ago.

Me too; nothing here was high enough on my wantlist to warrant purchasing previous bundles, but for a buck I will happily spend some time with everything except possibly Skydrift. Maybe even that one, as occasionally I can be a sucker for pretty racing games.

Anna has cards?? Yes.
Bonus!

Actually I have had it for quite a while but I think I did get it through GMG using credit now that you mention it. The DLC probably came directly from Steam when it was on sale.

I wish all Steam games kept track of time and achievements when playing in offline mode as I know I have logged some time in this game but my account only shows 21 minutes. Maybe I am thinking of another game but I thought I played this one to test my new at-the-time cheap Microsoft wheel.

Damn, have Tropico 3, 4 and Jagged Alliance.

But I'd have an unCAGish bad conscience to grab it for $1. Well, perhaps I can just gift the surplus keys.

Does this have separate keys?

Anna has cards currently in the 30-50 cent range, so if you're going in for $1, you'll recoup most or all of your money. (Those values are sure to drop now that there's a bundle, but who knows? You might get lucky.)

Sine Mora and Tropico 3 are great games.

Skydrift looks like a fun title worth about a dollar on its own.

Tropico 4 is OK (it's not much of an improvement on 3, and 3 is generally considered to be deeper while 4 is more for newbies), but Jagged Alliance: BIA is trash. So this one's not worth the $6 price unless you're a completionist.

6$ Auto BTA..... I just cant convince my self to spend even more than 5$ on these weekly sales.

Tropico 4 has been 6$ by itself already.

Ill throw in my 1$ for Anna and Tropico 3..

Anna cards will be down around 15 cents a piece within 90 minutes.
Might be a good time to buy, then. Going through my inventory just now I noticed that a bunch of cards that were down in the <$.10 range after bundle drops have since recovered to the $.20-30 range. And cards from 5-6 card drop games like Anna are always worth more.

Woooot anytime I can get a game on my wishlist (Sine Mora) for a buck, it's an instabuy. Throw in three other decent games, it's a bank heist, bitches and bitchettes.

In for sine mora without hesitation. Not sure if I want Tropico 4 enough to go up to $6 though. Seems like it'd be better to wait for the collector's edition on steam to go on sale, since there is so much DLC for the game.

Well lets see.  A dictatorship sim, a bi-plane racer, a bullet hell shooter co-developed with Grasshopper Manufacture(!?), and a game that I only remember because Zero Punctuation said it was insane.

So, totally sold.

Are they limiting how many gifts you can buy? I only bought 2 at the beginning of the sale, tried again today and get this ...

"Sorry, your Humble Weekly Sale: Kalypso Media order has been canceled.

We have received too many purchase requests from you in a short period of time, so we have canceled your order (you will not be charged).

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to reply to this email and we can help you make a purchase."

Yeah, I got limited after buying just one bundle. I emailed them and they lifted the limit. I would say you could do the same, but it's probably too late, as they're about to start a new sale in an hour and a half. I emailed them yesterday mid morning and it took until late evening for them to lift the limit. Can't hurt to try emailing them, though.
