We (our small office) had an Xbox One Day One Edition on preorder at Target. When we went to pick it up, the guy was very apologetic and explained that he didn't get enough Day Ones to fulfill his preorders and very quickly and smoothly offered us 10% off for a normal Xbox One! $449 for the brand new Xbox One plus on the same transaction we rung up two games (one of which was price-matched to Walmart for $49.99), used the 30% off two games coupon, he took $5 off instead of giving us a gift card, AND split the payment 3 ways (boss was paying for the Xbox, friend and I each paid for one of the games).

Seriously one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Target (especially this one) is awesome.

 
All that because your controller didnt say Day One on it? Really is there any other difference between day one console and other version of the console? Either way nice to see you get a nice deal!

 
Not much else. There's also some sort of code or something for a "Day One" achievement.

We really didn't even complain about it--he offered!
