Impulse purchase redeemed via Steam

Because there's some cases that games are redeemable else where. Like amazon game download Dungeon Defender could be redeemed on steam... Just asking if this is the case for this game as well.
 
Only if the game uses the Steamworks DRM can you buy it off another website and redeem it in Steam. Examples of this would be Skyrim,Rage, and the aforementioned Dungeon Defenders. Looking at the game, it looks like Microsoft published it, so that would be a big no, I would guess.

you can still buy it on gamestop.com, install the game and then add it to your steam library. it isnt as convenient as having it available for download from steam, but still lets you organize it some.
