That's too bad. It looks like I missed my last chance to take advantage of that sale, since I don't think they're open Sundays. Do you know how much their damaged stuff normally goes for?

I've been tempted to go around Indy CC locations to look for FE Wii, but I really don't need it.

I haven't really paid much attention to deals lately, since I've been busy and haven't had much chance to get out.

Passed a big sign today in NW IN stating that there was a community garage sale tomorrow 8-4 at Terrace Acres Trailer Park in Michigan City, IN. I really don't know what to expect, but usually trailer park sales are really good for the game stuff. Sadly, I will not be able to go, so any of you NW IN CAGs might want to check it out. Terrace Acres is on US 20 about 2 miles west of US 421 in michigan city.

Also, just wondering if the two guys I ran into in Goshen at the Salvation Army shop were CAGs. They looked like CAGs, sounded like CAGs, so I thought that I'd ask.

I wouldn't know. Most don't leave the house to enter the wild...:D I keed. I keed.

Anyways, speaking of the wild. Which state parks do you guys like? I've been to Brown County and Cataract Falls and I've like them both. Are there any hidden gems that are off the beaten path? I'd like to start exploring the back roads between Bloomington and Evansville just because I like to get as far away from an interstate from time to time. It's nice to roll into a town that doesn't have a strip of Chili's, Applebees, O'Charley's, etc.

Santa Claus, Indiana FTW.

Actually Mitchell and the nearby Spring Mill park are nice. Also there is a couple of lazy river places near Turkey Run.

French Lick, IN

It's a small town with two beautiful, old style hotels. I got to stay in one of the villas on the hill above the French Lick Springs hotel for a couple summers as a kid. It was nice down there. I just want to go back sometime to take a tour of the West Baden Springs hotel. I think there is a state park down that ways.

Those hotels are hella expensive though. They're very nice, and if you're of age, they now have a casino. My dad helped renovate the one with the big dome and has some awesome pictures of it.

I imagine they would be expensive. We got to stay at the villas because a friend of my mom was paying for it. I remember them offering tours of that hotel with the dome. I regret not taking one. That might be fun to do if I'm ever passing through that area.

French Lick is definitely on my list. Any good caves in the area? I know there are a bunch in Missouri, southern Illinois, and Kentucky but I'd rather save the gas and do something local.

I'm not really looking to gamble. I can always visit my brother in St. Louis and hit up a casino there. Plus, I have a buddy in Reno which is my underrated gambling spot.

I remember visiting one that wasn't too far. I think it was called Blue Spring Caverns, somewhere around Bedford. I think one year we also drove down to that really big cave cave system in Kentucky from there. We also drove to Fort Knox while we were down in French Lick one year. They have a tank museum there that I thought was interesting.

I can pronounce the name, but can't spell it at all. :p It's near Angola I believe (not talking about Fun Spot Park lol).

Mounds State Park in Anderson is a cute excursion for a day trip. It isnt very big so camping is pointless.

My daughter isn't old enough for camping quite yet so I'm just looking for cool day trips to go on Saturdays we're not at IU to watch football.

Then Mounds would be a good one time visit.

Also, there is a nice miniature golf course in Elletsville, good for an evening excursion from Bloomington. Plus any of the lakes in the area are good.

Wee actually live in Greenwood so there's a couple places around here to play mini golf. I'd like to hit up that Go-Kart track on US 31 in Whiteland one of these days.

The one up by Angola... is that Pokagon? My grandparents took me to Pokagon when I was a kid, but I had to go to the DNR's website just to remember the name, so it's safe to say I don't remember anything about it.

If you ever go to that minigolf/go-kart complex in Whiteland, depascal, let me know. My wife and I have been curious about their minigolf setup for a while, but we just keep going to Otte since it's right up the road from our house.

We just got some of the coupons in the Valpak so we'll be heading out soon. I haven't been karting or mini golfing in years.

What's so special about that karting place? Is it an actual track layout (kind of like the track they had at Great Times) or is it just an oval?

Pokagon?

That's good, cause Anderson is a bit of drive from French Lick. Mounds State Park is pretty cool though. Nashville and the Brown County State Forest is beautiful too.

Pokagon is a nice park, go after Thanksgiving when the toboggan run is open. (It's refrigerated so you can ride the sleds even if there is no snow on the ground)

On another note, Southgate Big Lots had PSP cases for $2 last week. I bought one. Holds the PSP in a holster style thing on one side with magnetic buttons to close it. The other side is zip up storage for a spare battery and UMD's.

Haha, small world, that was me and my brother. I almost asked you if you'd ever heard of CAG, because you seemed like the type.

I'll let you know in a couple days. It looks like it's a figure 8 when I drive by but my memory is fuzzy since I don't drive down to Whiteland or Franklin unless I need to go to the court house.

Really off topic, but if there are any LOTR fans in the Fort Wayne area, or if you know someone, my GF is having a rummage sale this weekend. She has a framed LOTR movie poster (original movie theater poster) in a huge frame (that was framed by Hobby Lobby). Originally around $250 total, for sale for much less. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Fast Times karting on the North Side of Indy is a blast, but it is not kid friendly and you have to be 18* in order to drive. They use karts that will go 40 mph on a straight, but of course the course is curved enough to slow speed considerably. However, it is serious karting and you are required to wear a jumpsuit, hans device, and helmet.

*You can drive if you are 16, but they make it so complicated that only people associated with racing teams actually jump through the hoops.

If anyone still wants a PSP extended battery pack (the phat pack) the Southtown WalMart still has them. Retailers are pulling these or selling out of them as Sony appears to be switching to only the slim pack going forward. Rumor has it that the PSP-3000 and the new PSP Slim batteries that are available now are probably going to be incompatible with the current battery hack-related methods of enabling homebrew.

I picked one of two they had at Sears a couple weeks ago. It was full price, though. Now I just need to save up some money so I can get a slim psp before the new model comes out. I want to have psp that can be modded.

I think they're like $30 or $35. This is the one near 27 as you leave town to the south. (Across from K-Mart)
I'm sure other places have them...but when they're gone, they're gone.

I recently got the custom firmware on my Slim and it's great. There are a couple of cool homebrew apps, but I'm finding that battery life is longer when running the games you own on UMD from the MS instead. Plus I can carry pretty much all my puzzle games on one Memory Stick instead of dragging a half dozen UMD's with me.
says not available just so you know.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm trying this new site and to be honest...it's not that great. Check out the Indy Craiglist later on. It should be up in a couple minutes.

EDIT -- I put all the games on my tradelist on craigslist. If you're near Greenwood and are looking for some rare games, you might want to check it out.

It's been a while since I posted in this thread. On October 10th, there's a Bulls vs. Pacers Exhibition game at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. Since I'm a hardcore Bulls fan (yes I hate the Pacers, always have. :p ), I will be there cheering the Bulls.

walmarts on us 31 headed to greenwood has aerosmith gutiar hero bundle marked for 49.99 that can not be right but get them while ya can at that price.

thanks for the info. did not know about it. have to see if some guys from church would want to go.

Southsiders looking for Lost Odyssey: there was still one for $15 at the Smith Valley / 135 Target last night after I picked mine up. No more Scene It! there.

Might want to check 31 and National too, they had a bazillion LOs at $30 a couple weeks back.

Meijer has all flash memory 20% off this week.
I picked up their store brand 2GB MicroSD card with SD adapter for $8.50.
They also have a kit in the clearance in the corner that is a set of adapters that includes:
PCMCIA to Compact Flash
Compact Flash to SD
SD to MicroSD
They are $6 on clearance. I'm using the SD to CF adapter in my camera and it works great.

Thanks, brother! I got the last one. They also had GRID (360) in the cabinet at $15.

Target on Coldwater has digital picture frames on clearance. They're NPower series and feature Nickelodeon character inserts and animations, but the secret is, they come with a plain silver frame insert and you can turn the animation off, thus rendering them a slightly cheap normal frame.

I got one for $18, not bat for a 7" TFT frame. Looks pretty good...has a stuck pixel that you can only see on a black background.

There was one left yesterday on the electronics endcap.
Target 135/Smith Valley has the GTA Special Editions at $44 still.
The Target up on 116th St had them marked down to $22 last week for those interested. I left two more copies, so I don't know if they've since been picked up though.

Yeah, and all the fun stuff from the last two weeks is gone. I had the day off yesterday (hooray, Columbus Day being a work holiday) and checked it out... was kinda hoping GTA4 would drop, but alas, it's in a holding pattern, like those 2 GB Zen Stones that are *still* $27.98.
