Ion iCade Core Arcade Game Controller for iPad 29.99
Anyone kow if this is compatible with the 4th gen Ipad? Can't find anything on the net.

Thanks
This (and the previous iCade cabinet) works with ANY iPad (or iDevice or even android devices) since it connects via Bluetooth, rather than using any sort of physical connection.

For those (like me) who had never heard of this thing, it actually gets decent reviews:

Here's the list of compatible games (games have to be expressly designed/updated to work with this controller, it seems -- inexplicably no Street Fighter IV support!).

Probably not worth the $90 MSRP, but for $30 + $6 S&H, it might just be.

If you jailbreak your iPad you can install blutrol and map the joystick and buttons to pretty much any game, including SFIV. I have an iControlpad myself but it works via bluetooth the same way the ION iCade does. Definitely recommended if you get something like this, otherwise there are only a handful of games you can use with it.

Jailbreaking is the easiest thing in the world unless its the 1st release (usually tethered JB) and even then its not so hard.

100% recommend to JB your iDevices, makes the experience sooooooo much better.
You can use it with iMame right?
Yes. Or at least on Android you can. I assume the same for iOS though you may need to Jailbreak because I don't know if they would allow emulator apps on the Apple Store.

The other apps like the one that mindcycle mentioned are worth it too because then you can remap the controls to work with most games.

On Android I use BluezIME with my (1st Gen) iCade and have it working with a bunch of games like Sonic etc.

I know on Android there are a few apps that natively support iCade and there's even one on WebOS, but there's not many so using another 3rd party app to remap the controls really opens up the functionality.

Admittedly though MAME is one app that lets you access a ton of games so it's worth it just for MAME alone really.

This things pretty fun, the controller feels really well made. I don't ever use it because it's pretty big which kind of defeats the purpose of a tablet. It's a fun novelty though and it works very well.

I have the one that looks like an arcade cabinet. It's fun playing some old school Xmen and Ninja Turtles on my HP Touchpad!
Any device with Bluetooth is supported. Phones, tablets of all makes as long as they have bluetooth.
Thanks! Always wanted to play games on my tablet, but can't stand touch controls on the table (too clunky for me). Now there is a reason to try all the emulators on the tablet.
Are these things compatible with Android tablets, seems like it (but have to sure). Does it work for Asus TF101?
I know the red cabinet works with CM9/ICS Android. I have WebOS on 1 side of my HP Touchpad and ice cream sandwich/ics(lmfao) Android on the other.
