Don't need anything fancy, about to take a long drive and want to listen to some podcasts.. looking for as cheap as possible or at least a descent one that can be gotten on ebay cheaper. Thanks for any input.

i've been looking for on too. I'm thinking about the iTrip from Griffin alot of people have it on ebay and craiglist for $15-$20. my friend has one of those and it's not bad at all.

I just bought one from Monoprice.com for about $11:

It works well, and charges the iPod as you go. The price was right.

The only complaint that I have is that on some of the frequencies, you get a bit of feedback. I just change frequencies and it goes away.

I have heard that there can be problems with these units if you live in areas where there are a lot of stations.

We use this one plugged in to a lighter about 3 feet from the radio. It also lets you pick any frequency you want, instead of having a few preprogrammed in.

I guess I'd give this one a thumbs up.

i rather get one of the Griffin iTrip from ebay rather than that imo. They're only $13-20 on ebay with free shipping. Griffin been well known in the ipod accessories. You might even be able to find them on craiglist for cheaper.

honestly think fm transmitters are a crap shoot as they'll never sound good and there's alot of variables on whether they'll be descent or not, like outside fm signals, whether your antenna is on the front or back of your car... But since my car has no aux jack or tape deck... ended up picking the griffen roadtrip. we shall see.

prob not the cheapest, but if you have a tj maxx (or marshalls perhaps?) near you, they often carry fm transmittors for all audio units with headphone out jack. that just means you can get one now.
