Is it not appropriate to post about your own projects?

Hey all,
I posted in the PC Gaming general forum talking about an open source project I run which has a new release, is that not OK for some reason? If it is OK, then why was it deleted? Thanks!

Seems fine to me.

The thing is, the mods can't seem to distinguish between legitimate activities and piracy.

Oh, maybe they thought it was piracy? I guess that makes sense. Yeah it (obviously) isn't that to me, but I guess to someone unfamiliar with open source software they wouldn't understand... I'll try reposting and making that clear. Thanks!
