Is there a way to check if a code works or what it is for?

I know that when you enter a redeemable code on your 360, you can see what it is for before you actually confirm if you want to use it. Is that possible on the PS3? Or does the content automatically become tied to me once I enter the code?

You can check the code just like on the 360. It asks for confirmation before download. (At least it did a month ago. :/ )

I always exchange codes through the web PSN Account Manager

After inputting the code (or PSN card) it displays what it does/gives and requires confirmation afterwads. Much more practical than doing it through the PS3
