Is this a good HDTV?

The sony Bravia KDL40S3000, I found a place nearby selling it for $800. Wanted to know if it was a good TV or if I should instead wait and get something else with 1080p.

I bought this model for $1000, in March. My 360 games and dvd's look great. Buy it for $800, you will not be disappointed.
